There are many obstacles on the caravan’s road, and danger lurks around every corner. Risa (Anna Fiamora) manages to dodge death for the most part and continues her trip.

Is Risa Dead or Alive?
Risa is one of the immigrants accompanying Shea Brennan’s caravan through the Great Plains. Risa is Josef’s wife and speaks very little English. The pair is dedicated to creating a better life for themselves.
Risa faces numerous challenges on the route, including a dangerous river crossing and a run-in with bandits. The experiences, however, do not dampen Risa’s optimism for the future.
Both Risa and Josef meet a horrible end in 1883 Season 1 Episode 9. Risa’s horse is bitten by a snake while travelling, causing her to tumble down.
She is paralysed and unable to move as a result of her injuries. Josef is bitten by the snake when he tries to help her. For the next few days, the pair will be in a bad situation.
Josef is forced to amputate his leg in the first season finale, but he survives. Risa, on the other hand, does not fare as well and succumbs to her injuries. As Josef mourns the loss of Risa, she passes away in her husband’s arms.

Is Anna Fiamora Planning to Leave 1883? Will She Return for Season 2?
Risa is played by actress Anna Fiamora in the series. She is a reoccurring character who plays an important role in the storey on several occasions.
Risa’s strong bond with her spouse and capacity to persevere in the face of adversity makes her an excellent candidate for surviving the adventure.
Risa, on the other hand, meets a horrible end before reaching the promised land and beginning the life she had envisioned with Josef. Risa’s death emphasises the price the Pioneers had to pay in order to establish themselves in the American West.
Fiamora’s stint on the show appears to have come to an end with Risa’s death. Despite the fact that paramount+ has extended the series for more episodes, Fiamora’s Risa is unlikely to appear in the second season.
Risa’s storey arc ends with the season 1 finale, and it doesn’t appear that any of the immigrants will appear in future episodes. As a result, Fiamora’s final appearance on the show will most likely be in the first season finale.
