Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 1 “Hidden Inventory” Recap
Geto Suguru was once Satoru’s close companion as they practiced sorcery together. However, Geto’s daily ritual of exorcising curses left him dissatisfied and wanting something different to keep his interest. Utahime and Mei-Mei were assigned to investigate a hotspot for cursed spirits in their city, which Geto found helpful and intriguing.
Utahime and Mei-Mei cautiously entered a dilapidated house, unaware of what lay within. Soon enough, they realized they were trapped within an invisible barrier. With no choice but to run in opposite directions at full speed to find an exit before Satoru, Geto, and Shoko arrived as reinforcements, their plan had already proven successful.
After completing the mission, Satoru, Geto, and Shoko returned to Tokyo Jujutsu High. Tensions flared between Satoru and Geto over Geto’s veil, something Shoko quickly sensed would cause conflict. Shoko quickly withdrew, not wanting to become involved, while Satoru and Geto continued their argument. Geto suggested taking it outside.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 1 Ending Explained
As Satoru and Geto prepared to engage in battle, Masamichi unexpectedly arrived on the court and disclosed that Tengen had sent them on a mission. Their mission was to accompany and eliminate Riko Amanai of Star Plasma Vessel due to her compatibility with Tengen. Masamichi further elaborated by explaining that Tengen possesses an infinite lifespan through the Immortality Method. Unfortunately, this does not prevent Tengen’s body from aging over time.
Once Tengen reaches an advanced age, their body undergoes radical reconstruction and evolution as a sign that they have moved beyond human nature into something superior. Satoru doesn’t see this as a problem, but Geto expresses concern that Tengen could cease being their true self and pose an existential threat to humanity if their true identity disappears completely. To prevent further evolution and progression, it is crucial that Tengen finds a compatible Star Plasma Vessel and merges it together with them.
Complexities arise due to two factions pursuing Riko Amanai. The Curse User Group Q aims to disrupt the established jujutsu order by inciting Tengen’s fury. The Star Religious Group, commonly referred to as the Time Vessel Association or Star Religious Group, is dedicated to worshiping Tengen as a deity with frequent prayers offered up. Satoru and Geto must keep close tabs on Riko as Tengen plans on merging with her in two days.
Star Plasma Vessels, often young women, have the unique power to renew immortality by merging with those using an ancient technique called Immortality Restore Spear. An explosion suddenly occurs when Geto enters an apartment first while Satoru remains outside to initiate their escort service. Geto witnesses the Star Plasma Vessel falling from her apartment while another member of Group Q arrives to confront Satoru.
