BBC-virdee-

BBC One started a new exciting crime thriller called Virdee. This show combines intense detective work with serious family problems. The show is based on AA Dhand’s third novel, City of Sinners. It follows Detective Chief Inspector Harry Virdee as he fights a cruel killer and deals with personal and cultural problems. Because it takes place in Bradford, Virdee has a lot of crime, mystery, and family drama. Fans of detective thrillers should watch it.

STAZ NAIR LEADS AS DCI HARRY VIRDEE

The lead role is played by Staz Nair (Game of Thrones, Supergirl). He is DCI Harry Virdee, a detective who is determined to bring justice to his city even though he is painfully estranged from his Sikh family. His strict Sikh father, Ranjit (Kulvinder Ghir), didn’t like the fact that he married Saima (Aysha Kala), a Muslim woman. He fired him. His mother, Jyoti (Sudha Bhuchar), wants the family to get back together, but they are still fighting.

Harry works hard at his job even though he is having problems in his personal life. As a brutal killer goes after South Asians, he has to deal with the difficulties of his identity, his duty, and the rising tensions in the city. Nair said that taking on the role was “terrifying,” pointing out the importance of the character and the chance to be seen.
