Where is ‘Making the Cut’ Season 3 Finalist Georgia Hardinge Today?

Georgia Hardinge’s Making The Cut Journey

Where is Making the Cut Season 3 Finalist Georgia Hardinge Now? – The third season of “Making the Cut” has over. On Thursday night, the concluding episode of the well-known reality TV competition series was made available on Amazon Prime. Only one designer, out of the three entrants that advanced to the final round, received the grand prize of $1 million.

Yannik, Rafael, and Georgia were the three designers who persevered to the very end. Yannik and Rafael won the competition with their outstanding designs once the judges saw the concept store collection. Georgia and Jeanette were in the bottom two. The judges ultimately opted to disqualify the latter.

The final collection from the three designers was already complete and ready to go. They had four weeks to create a final collection of ten looks for their own fashion show. At least four wearable looks and two looks for menswear had to be included in their designs. The Making the Cut finalists’ last task required them to present their brand to Christine Beauchamp from Amazon.

The competition’s host, Tim Gunn, told the designers that their business pitches were crucial since they affected the competition’s conclusion. Christine needed a distinct understanding of the designer and their brand.

Even though each of the Top 3 finalists had a distinctive collection representing them and their brand, only one won the substantial monetary award. Yannik Zamboni, a Swiss fashion designer, won this season’s reality competition.

The winner will also receive mentorship from Amazon Fashion and the opportunity to debut their business on the Making the Cut store on Amazon, but that’s not all.

Georgia Hardinge, a native of the UK, entered the third season of “Making The Cut” to put out her best effort and enliven the competition. Although she won over fans with her charm, judges were astounded by her talent and precision. But now that the season is over, let’s see where Georgia is right now, shall we?

Making The Cut: Georgia Hardinge’s Journey

Georgia Hardinge graduated from Parsons Paris School of Art and Design, and in 2010, she established her own clothing line. The designer focuses on exquisite sustainability and employs organic and recycled fabrics in her designs. Additionally, heavily influenced by architecture, she uses the pleating method to fashion free-flowing materials into 3D sculptural designs. She frequently draws inspiration from London’s infrastructure because of the city’s excellent blend of historic and contemporary structures.

Georgia was allowed to display her products at a fashion show in Somerset House in 2010 after her concepts and designers completely rocked the fashion world. She debuted her designs at Victoria’s Secret event that same year and hasn’t looked back since. Georgia has extensive fashion design experience and has worked with numerous organizations throughout her career. To create a selection of skincare bottles for Queen Elizabeth II’s diamond jubilee festivities in 2012, the UK-based designer teamed together with Lancôme.

Georgia and River Island also collaborated to introduce a particular line in 2015. She impressed the judges with her inventions once she was on the show and appeared to be a strong contender for first prize. Georgia even came in first place after winning the social media challenge in episode 6. Although her ten-piece collection and business pitch in the finale were pretty good, the judges concluded that she should be eliminated in third place because her rivals outperformed her slightly.

On her website, the designer highlights her name:

Georgia Hardinge is a contemporary brand, inspired by new technologies and innovation. The brand incorporates a strong sculptural style bringing a 3dimentional approach to wearable pieces.”

At the 2019 Drapers Awards, Hardinge was nominated for the Sustainability Award. When asked to characterise her brand in a 2019 interview with Drapers, the designer responded as follows:

A sculptural, sustainable womenswear label that is exciting, bringing a three-dimensional approach to feminine shapes.”

Georgia Hardinge: Where Is She Now?

Additionally, various celebrities have sponsored her brand, including Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, and others.

Georgia currently resides in London, where she manages both a brick-and-mortar boutique shop in St. Christopher’s Place and her fashion brand. Additionally, she represented the UK at the 2022 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Kigali, Rwanda. Viewers will be relieved to see that Georgia Hardinge and David Ling are happily married and the delighted parents of a baby boy named Apollo.
