How Did Stephanie McClurg Die

Stephanie McClurg’s Cause of Death

Stephanie McClurg was in the midst of a painful divorce when she met Jason, a single father. She and Jason were fast friends, and it didn’t take long for them to get close with each other’s children.

Near July 2012, the couple welcomed their first child after settling into a home in Winona, Missouri. Unfortunately, the show revealed that their daughter, who was born in 2013, was born prematurely and died only a month later.

However, the couple married in October of that year and welcomed their second son in March of the following year.

On May 4, 2014, 911 dispatchers received a call from Jason, who sounded worried and said his wife was unresponsive.

Officers and medical workers arrived in a flash, but Stephanie had already passed away. She had overdosed on drugs, according to an autopsy, and cops discovered a bottle of prescription medications next to her body.

However, there were no obvious indicators of foul play at the time, and the police assumed the death was natural.

Who Killed Stephanie McClurg

Who Was The Killer of Stephanie McClurg?

Despite the fact that Jason McClurg appeared shaken by his wife’s murder, the police were sceptical of his comments.

He claimed Stephanie had been unconscious for a long time, while the victim’s mother stated she had only been spoken to her for 30 minutes before calling 911.

Stephanie’s phone was recovered by the police, who confirmed her mother’s suspicions. Even still, there wasn’t enough evidence to make an arrest, so they had to keep looking.

Stephanie’s relatives provided even more information to the authorities because they were with her and Jason the day before she died.

According to the show, the victim’s family members claimed that on March 3, Jason offered his wife some kool-aid, indicating that their 2-year-old child had survived.

Stephanie, on the other hand, became pretty ill after drinking it, and Jason washed the bottle before putting it away.

Stephanie’s employment, on the other side, contacted investigators and revealed that Jason had called just before her death to enquire about his wife’s life insurance.

Despite this, the most crucial breakthrough came when authorities discovered Jason’s affair. The girl Jason was having an affair with came forward and said Jason was going to kill his wife with a chemical overdose disguised as Kool-Aid, according to the show.

Authorities investigated Jason’s trailer and found a used bottle of Kool-Aid as well as bottles of muscle relaxants, bolstering their case against him.

A rapid toxicology report confirmed that the cause of death was a muscle relaxant overdose, and the bottle tested positive for traces of the same medication as well.

As a result, after becoming certain of Jason’s involvement, law enforcement officers arrested him and charged him with murder.
