Roger Ordish, who is he?
‘Jim’ll Fix It,’ which aired from 1975 to 1994 and had Jimmy as the host, was produced by Roger Ordish. The show’s premise was that youngsters would write to Jimmy and ask him to fulfil one of their fantasies. Jimmy would then assist with the dream, and the kids would visit the scene afterwards. Because of Jimmy’s blatant “hatred” for youngsters, Roger first thought the show should be hosted by someone else.
Kevin Cook, who first appeared on the show in 1976, accused Jimmy of sexual abuse years later. Kevin, who was 9 years old at the time, claims he was escorted back to Jimmy’s dressing room under the guise of collecting a Jim’ll Fix It badge while he was at the BBC Television Centre in London, England.
Kelvin claimed he was abused there. Kevin was one of the hundreds of people who survived the disaster, including Karin Ward and Sam Brown.
When the claims were made public, Roger was taken aback. He did admit, though, that Jimmy had a “predilection towards younger females.” “I recall suggesting he shouldn’t be allowed alone with youngsters,” Roger remarked, “but that would apply to any presenter because the guidelines were that a young person should always be chaperoned.”
It wasn’t because I was afraid he’d do something terrible to the child, but I thought his presence was unsettling for certain kids. Yes, I believe it is frightening.”
Jimmy was highly secretive during the period the producer knew him, according to the producer. Jimmy frequently complemented younger girls, saying, “These are young females; they’re not children,” according to Roger. They could have been 14 but appeared to be 18 years old, but they were not children, in my opinion.”
What Happened to Roger Ordish and Where Is He Now?
Roger Ordish never considered Jimmy to be a paedophile in the end. “[He was] strange, yeah, but it never occurred to me that there was any paedophilia going on,” he added. If someone had come to me and said something specific had happened, such as a complaint about Jimmy Savile’s behaviour, I would have acted quickly.”
Roger was found to be innocent of any illegal activity after a BBC investigation. Roger appears to be still situated in England and operates a production firm years later. Aside from that, he is a YouTube content maker.
