Where is Faye Yager’s First Husband Roger Jones Now? – The five-part FX Network documentary series “Children Of The Underground,” directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite and Ted Gesing, looks at Faye Yager’s efforts to safeguard children who have been sexually abused. Even though Yager’s daughter had regularly complained to her that her father had beaten her, Yager’s ex-husband had custody of their daughter when she founded Children of the Underground in 1987.
As a result, it is obvious that her covert organization was inspired by her personal interactions with her first husband, Roger Lee Jones, though not in the way you might think. So if you’re interested in learning more about their relationship, what exactly happened, what happened in the confusing aftermath, or where he is now, keep reading below.

Roger Lee Jones: Who is He?
Roger Jones (born November 9, 1945) can only be classified as a sex offender and a pedophile. His victims appeared to range in age from 2 to 16-year-old girls. In fact, he was the first person ever to be listed on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list for sex crimes against minors (in 1987), but in reality, Faye had already attempted to sound the alarm in 1973.
Eventually, when the 22-year-old saw her husband molesting her then 2-year-old daughter Michelle, he wrapped/loved her little hands around her genitals.
The worst aspect, though, is that Roger later succeeded in getting Faye committed to the psychiatric unit by merely labeling her as hysterical and delusional. Because of this, despite her best efforts, not only did no one believe her claims, but also, because of his denial that they ever had an inappropriate relationship with their child, he twice ended up with custody of the child. Roger continued to physically abuse Faye’s daughter until she was young or at least 12 years old. Faye had hoped that Michelle had tested positive for gonorrhea would prompt a change, but it didn’t.
What Happened to Roger Lee Jones and Where Is He Now?
Roger was finally detained in Florida in August 1986 for committing sex offenses against three juveniles, but he quickly left the area after obtaining the bond. He was charged under federal law in March 1987 based on three counts of sexual battery, three counts of lewd and lascivious behavior, and one case of sexual performance by a juvenile. He had been using the identity of Mike Andrews, so after his crimes were profiled on “America’s Most Wanted,” a tip led to his eventual capture in Butte, Montana, on March 4, 1989.
Despite the fact that the FBI apparently assessed Roger’s total number of victims to be close to 60, Roger was found guilty in 1990 and given a 30-year prison term in connection with the molestation counts already brought against him. According to what we know, the convicted sex offender was released from a state prison in June 2006, but probation is still needed for him until June 2036. As a result, we can confidently state that Roger Lee Jones is currently leading a peaceful life in Jacksonville, Florida, as required under the terms of his supervised release.
