How Did Christine Sheddy Die

Christine Sheddy’s Cause of Death

Christine Marie Sheddy was born in Dover, Delaware, in December 1980. She grew up loving music, spending time with friends, and working in the family business. Christine was praised for being a caring and kind person who was always eager to assist those in need. The 26-year-old, a single mother of three, was residing in a farmhouse in Pocomoke City, Maryland, at the time of the event with two of her kids and three other roommates.

In November 2007, one of Christine’s housemates informed Christine’s mother, Lynn Dodenhoff, that she had abruptly vanished, leaving behind her two sons. Incredulous, Lynn filed a missing person report for her daughter. Before a tip in February 2010 that provided some closure, a thorough search showed no indication of what had happened to Christine. A tennis shoe was discovered on February 19, 2010, after several hours of searching, which led to the discovery of the remainder of Christine Sheddy’s remains. Sheddy may have received up to four blows from a blunt object, according to a later determination by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Who Killed Christine Sheddy and Why?

Christine Sheddy was residing with Tia Johnson, Tia’s cousin Justin Hadel, and Tia’s ex-boyfriend Clarence “Junior” Jackson at the time. As time passed and no additional leads materialised, the case became cold because all three of them insisted they had nothing to do with the disappearance. Junior and Tia relocated to Tennessee in the years that followed, while Justin ended up in Texas. Junior was imprisoned in Tennessee but desired to go to Maryland to be nearer to his daughter.

Christine’s mother unexpectedly got a letter stating that Junior would reveal what had happened to her daughter in exchange for being transferred to a Maryland jail. When the police visited Junior in February 2010, a graphic account of what had happened surfaced.

According to one allegation, Junior and Christine had sex while he was still dating Tia. However, Junior reportedly declined when Christine reportedly asked for more. According to sources, this prompted Christine to threaten to inform Tia about what was happening.

Junior and Justin decided to murder Christine in a scheme that included Justin, who had just turned 17 at the time. Justin beat the young mother with a 2-by-4 piece of wood, breaking many bones in her face. On November 12, 2007, Tia arrived home and noticed Justin and Junior leaving the woods. They informed her that Christine had escaped and they were looking for her at the time. However, Christine’s body had actually been buried at the woodline by the two men.

According to a different account, Junior testified that Justin hit Christine because of a sex-related issue. He asserted that Justin and Christine had once engaged in sexual activity. Later that evening, they decided to relocate the body, and Tia was involved this time. It was discovered that Tia transported the two men and two of her children to the bed and breakfast that she and Junior formerly worked at in Snow Hill. The trunk contained Christine’s dead body. The two men buried Christine in a little cemetery outside the guest house’s gate while Tia watched over them.

Where Are Junior Jackson, Tia Johnson, and Justin Hadel Now?

When Junior Jackson divulged Christine’s precise location after speaking with the police, a flurry of legal actions ensued. Junior claimed that while he wasn’t a part of the murder, he was in charge of the cover-up. Tia and Junior admitted guilt to their actions in an Alford plea. Tia, then 32, entered a guilty plea to third-degree burglary and accessory after the fact, while Junior, then 38, was found guilty of first-degree murder.

Junior received a 30-year sentence in October 2012. Tia received two consecutive sentences of five years and ten years, with the latter sentence having all but two and a half of its terms suspended. Tia Johnson was to serve five years of supervised probation after her release. After being found guilty of first-degree murder in 2011, Justin was given a life sentence. But in March 2015, the conviction was overturned. Jackson agreed to a plea agreement that included a 30-year prison term. He had admitted to investigators that he was the “utmost ringleader” and plotter of the cover-up.

“I did not kill her. But the fact that I hid her for so many years is just as bad. I am deeply sorry, from the bottom of my heart,” he said.
