Recap of FBI: International Season 1 Episode 5

Special Agent Scott Forrester uncovered a long-ignored familial relationship when a simple murder turned into a spy hunt.

A major storey deteriorates. Someone (Kumbi Mushambi) in Krakow, Poland, received a text telling him to leave a cafe.

He snatched a bag from a safe and escaped into the street after witnessing a dead maid in his hotel room.

After a dozen steps, he choked and collapsed, dropping the bag. As another man removed something from the dead man’s bag, his phone texted, “I’m sorry.”

In Budapest, a team briefing on the assassinated journalist Philip Blake halted Vo and Kellett’s escape.

It appeared to be Russian poison, and Jaeger pointed out that targeting an American would be a significant step up in the game.

Forrester was anxious about Kellett’s return to the field, but she was also excited. The team met Alesky Zielinski (Pawel Szjda), an old friend of Jaeger’s who works with the Polish counterterrorism section, in Krakow.

He claimed they had a suspect in the form of Alina Nowak (Magdalena Korpas), a Polish reporter who had communicated with Blake just before his death.

Alina was annoyed to be chatting with Americans, stating that she and Blake had met on a previous mission, but Blake refused to elaborate.

Her storey had more to it, but it wasn’t worth her time. Blake was alone when Forrester and Kellett arrived at the motel.

The “poison,” according to Raines, was a rare radioactive metal that had spread throughout the hotel room. Kellett assumed Blake was waiting for something important in the room when he returned.

The researchers uncovered a chamber containing the killers’ radiation using a Geiger metre. When Forrester noticed someone looking at them, he led Raines outside to coax the man out so they could grab him.

Michael Rafferty (Aaron Serostky), on the other hand, did divulge the data file he had recovered from Blake’s rucksack.

The FBI in New York directed the team to pass over the data disc, which contained thousands of files, to the CIA. Forrester advised Jaeger to make touch with former acquaintances.

An old “frenemy,” Piotr Efremov (Alexander Sokovikov), warned Jaeger to stay out of this.

Vo learned Blake was researching a groundbreaking top-secret Russian missile with the help of a hidden file.

Blake’s widow, Julianna (Toni Belafonte), was convinced Russia had him silenced. Julianna said that Alina was the one who first told Blake about the storey.

They arrived at her apartment, where Alina was terrified of “anyone who knew Dasha.” As the killers neared the building, Tank barked a warning.

One of them was shot by Tank while attempting to assassinate Alina in the bathroom, while the other managed to flee.

So, what’s up, Dasha? Dasha was a CIA code name for a high-ranking Russian military source who was being pursued by Blake, according to Rafferty.

Rafferty sneered at Forrester when he asked why the CIA didn’t include them, saying he didn’t trust the son of one of history’s most known traitors.

Rafferty used Alina as bait to attract Dasha out because the Fly Team was on standby in case things went bad.

Blake’s phone was used to contact Dasha and arrange up a meeting. Vo was disturbed when Kellett suggested Vo impersonate Alina.

Kellett was pursued by a Russian assassin to a local church. Before the crew arrived, she killed him with his own poison needle.

Raines recognised Dasha in a man (Nicholas Gauci). He pursued Dasha, but she managed to avoid him. When Kellett attempted to shield Dasha.

Forrester realised Dasha was implying a data drive gravestone. Rafferty had arrived, looking for the drive that Forrester had turned down.

Piotr and Jaeger agreed to remain silent. In exchange for not disclosing Dasha’s existence, Jaeger let Alina go, and Russia ceased targeting journalists.

Julianna was annoyed, but she assumed Philip would prefer to work with other journalists.

Rafferty offered Forrester a portrait of Forrester’s mother in Moscow in exchange for the drive.
