‘Pieces of Her’ Season 2 Release Date, Cast And Plot

Who is Andy’s Real Father in Pieces of Her

Pieces of Her,’ a Netflix thriller drama, follows a young lady named Andy (short for Andrea) as she gradually finds that practically everything she thinks she knows about her mother is a lie.

Laura, Andy’s mother, has lived a calm life for decades, but when a shooter threatens mother and daughter, she is compelled to reveal her violent side.

Andy is thrown onto a tumultuous journey as she learns about her mother’s perilous history.

The drama, which was created by Charlotte Stoudt and is based on Karin Slaughter’s 2018 novel of the same name, aroused spectators’ and critics’ curiosity with its interesting premise.

Season 1 comes to a close with a flurry of unexpected disclosures, providing us with some much-needed answers, yet the storey still seems to be unfolding.

If you’re wondering if Season 2 of ‘Pieces of Her’ has been renewed or cancelled, we have some exciting news for you.

'Pieces of Her' Season 2

Netflix’s ‘Pieces of Her’ Season 2 Release Date

Season one of Netflix’s ‘Pieces of Her‘ debuted on March 4, 2022. The season’s eight episodes were released on the streaming site at the same time, with each episode lasting between 45 minutes and an hour.

Here’s all we can tell you about the story’s sequel.

Season 2 has yet to be officially greenlit. Fans of the show shouldn’t despair just yet, as more of Laura and Andrea’s compelling narrative may be revealed.

Despite the fact that season one ended with some spectacular revelations about Laura’s past and answered most of the issues posed at the beginning of the show, the mother-daughter duo still faces some serious challenges.

Andrea, in particular, now understands her mother’s terrible (and violent) secret but chooses to keep it to herself.

The alarming call Jasper makes to Laura near the end of season 1’s finale is another element that definitely suggests there is more to the storey. According to the dialogue, Quellcorp’s new corrupt Vice-President is now blackmailing Laura, therefore the narrative is unlikely to end here.

When the series is compared to the novel on which it is based, the picture is comparable. Despite the fact that the book is a stand-alone storey with no sequels (yet), there are key elements of the novel’s conclusion that are not seen in the series.

Nick’s stint in prison and Laura’s following visits with him are included (trying to get a confession out of the convicted man). In the book, Jasper also appears to have a bigger involvement in the whole disaster. All of these elements of the novel may make for a very interesting second season.

As a result, despite the fact that season 2 has yet to be confirmed, we’re optimistic about a sequel. Of course, the first season’s viewership numbers and how well it does with viewers will be taken into account.

Season 2 of ‘Pieces of Her’ is set to premiere sometime in mid-2023, assuming it is greenlit quickly.

Who Could Be a Cast of ‘Pieces of Her’ Season 2?

Toni Collette (Laura Oliver) & Bella Heathcote (Andy Oliver) play the core mother-daughter combo in ‘Pieces of Her,’ and they lead the cast.

  • Jacob Scipio (Michael Vargas),
  • Jessica Barden (Jane),
  • Omari Hardwick (Gordon Oliver),
  • Joe Dempsie (Nick Harp),
  • David Wenham (Jasper Queller),

In addition to a few others, the supporting cast includes

  • Terry O’Quinn (Martin Queller),
  • Gil Birmingham (Charlie Bass),
  • Catherine McClements (Grace Juno),
  • Nicholas Burton (Andrew Queller),
  • Genevieve Hegney (Paula Kunde)

We expect all of the major cast members, including Terry O’Quinn & Gil Birmingham, whose roles died in season 1, to return in a possible season 2, given the show’s numerous, complicated timelines.

What Could the Plot of ‘Pieces of Her’ Season 2 Be?

The first season ends with the shocking discovery that her father, Martin Queller, was murdered by Jane (as Laura), not Nick. Andy discovers the truth in the last moments of season one, but she chooses not to confront her mother.

However, Jasper discovers that Laura was involved in their father’s murder and suggests that he plans to use this information to blackmail her.

Season 2 could pick up from the tense circumstances indicated above, with Jasper’s demands to his sister most likely being the first episode.

We might also learn more about Nick’s fate and whether he can avoid spending the rest of his life in prison by learning the truth about Martin Queller’s murder.

Finally, the complicated interaction between Laura and Andy will continue to unfold, and for the first time, the daughter appears to know (nearly) everything that is going on.

If and when season 2 airs, we could see mother and daughter working together to defeat Jasper and the vindictive Paula Kunde, who has vowed to kill Laura.
