Where is The Bling Ring’s Alexis Neiers Now? – Alexis Christine Haines (Neiers) and Nicholas “Nick” Prugo, former members of the notorious Hollywood heist gang known as the Bling Ring, were just teenagers when they got involved in high-profile burglary cases of A-list Hollywood stars, including Paris Hilton, Orlando Bloom, and Lindsay Lohan, among others.
The seven-person Bling Ring gang of young adults in their teens and 20s was charged with robbing prominent Hollywood celebrities of pricey clothing, jewelry, and other personal items.
To steal all they could, the burglars—Rachel Lee, Prugo, Neiers, Diana Tamayo, Courtney Ames, Johnny Ajar, and Roy Lopez Jr.—would plan their breaks into their homes.
In the upcoming Netflix docuseries The Real Bling Ring: Hollywood Heist, two convicted burglars will provide first-person recollections of the events that took place all those years ago and their effects on their personal and professional lives.
There were still holes, though, which Netflix’s documentary “The Real Bling Ring: Hollywood Heist” is now filling in with in-depth interviews, including one with participant Alexis Christine Neiers.
Who is Alexis Neiers?
Alexis Neiers grew up surrounded by the entertainment world thanks to her parents, former Playboy model turned actress Andrea Arlington and cinematographer Mikel Neiers. She did experience changes in her environment and conduct after their divorce, but she nevertheless made the decision—or consented at her mother’s urging—to seriously consider a career in show business. In fact, the docuseries claims that she didn’t even try to break into Hollywood until she was 16, when Andrea drove her to downtown Los Angeles to get a phoney ID.
However, it’s important to note that, according to the Netflix production, supporting Alexis’ partying, drinking, and drug use also had a big impact on her career aspirations. She did shortly succeed in landing a reality show with her family on the E! Network called “Pretty Wild,” only to be detained for her involvement in The Bling Ring while the pilot episode was being filmed. Nevertheless, the season went on, chronicling not just the ensuing legal battles but also Alexis’s prolonged profession, her antics at parties, and how she and her sisters were homeschooled.
Where is Alexis Neiers Now?
In May 2010, a month before she turned 19, Alexis entered a plea of not guilty to a single count of first-degree residential burglary. She was sentenced to 180 days in jail and three years of probation. She even had to make restitution payments of $600,000 to her intended victim, star Orlando Bloom, whose home she only participated in once, proving she was not the ringleader. The youngster was subsequently transferred to the LA County Jail Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood to complete her sentence of over six months, but she was released after only 32 days in custody (on July 23, 2010).
Alexis was arrested again in December 2010, less than five months after her initial arrest, for violating her probation by having heroin and a phoney Florida driver’s licence in her hands. This time, she was sentenced to a year in treatment after entering a not guilty plea to the charges of felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanour possession of a smoking equipment. Since she has been sober for more than 11 years, the former reality star really believes that this sentence—rather than the 3 to 6-year prison term she could have received—saved her life.
Additionally, it’s important to remember that Alexis first met Evan Haines, the co-founder of Oro House Recovery Centers and the man she would later marry, when she was completing her sentence at the SOBA Recovery Center in Malibu. Around a year later, in April 2012, the couple joyfully exchanged vows in a modest, private ceremony in Mexico before adding two girls to their family: Harper (2013) and Dakota (2016). In reality, they made it public in 2021 that they were married in an open relationship and that Alexis was bisexual. They do this because they want to raise their children to be “allies.”
Unfortunately, Alexis and Evan have recently broken up their relationship permanently. The presenter of the podcast “Recovering From Reality” announced their separation on April 1, 2022, and on August 9 they filed for divorce. We are co-parenting incredibly well, and our ten years of marriage and eleven years of being together have been a fantastic success, she told US Weekly. “I don’t think either of us wanted to separate or get divorced; it’s simply the way things turned out. Again, Evan and I are probably better co-parents than partners because of how much I adore him.”
On the other hand, we must point out that throughout the years, Alexis and her mother, Andrea Arlington, have been able to mend their relationship and continue to have a happy, healthy relationship. To assist others in forming distinctive connections, finding healing, and generally being the best version of themselves, they even do the Life Reset Course together. The 31-year-old California native recently remarked, “We’ve gone so far. I’m just incredibly proud of the woman [my mother] has become and is now developing into.”
