Cruel Summer Season 2 Episode 6 Ending Explained
According to a previous episode’s coroner’s report, it was revealed that Luke was shot using his family gun but ultimately drowned after Megan found him. This information provides more clarity regarding Luke’s death.
“Cruel Summer” writers clearly take pleasure in surprising viewers with unexpected twists and leads to unmask its mysteries, something fans of Season 1 witnessed when Kate first chose to stay with her “kidnapper” at his home; similarly surprising revelations can be expected in future episodes; Episode 6 highlighted Isabella as a possible culprit of Luke’s death while Megan’s efforts at proving Isabella guilty were seen not as attempts at discrediting other suspects but as the genuine pursuit of truth.
Though Megan has yet to demonstrate it, she may be just like Jennette: capable of lying. In this show, it is always prudent to assume that characters may be hiding something; Luke himself displayed this trait when he claimed Isabella kissed him before dying on New Year’s Eve, as evidenced by this falsehood.
