Made in Abyss Season 2 Episode 12 “Gold” Finale Recap
Faputa keeps fighting the outsider creatures who are destroying the Narehate Village Ilblu because she feels that they are abdicating their hereditary duty to protect the community. Faputa remembers inadvertently running into Gabroon many years ago when he presented himself as an interference unit and seemed very interested in her.
He was assisted in rebuilding himself by Faputa, and the two finally developed a strong friendship. The young princess ultimately received a name from him, and he was given the name Gabroon. Faputa purposefully took Prushka from the group when she learned that Reg was back, which ultimately led them to Ilbu. Although she had hoped that visiting there would help Reg regain his memories, this did not occur.
Reg awoke in the meantime and discovered himself with his pals. They soon encounter Wazukiyan, who is dying. He changed Riko and her companions’ perception of the past and forced them to commit to looking after Faputa. Moogie notices Faputa shouting for them all of a sudden. She seems actually to need their assistance this time, unlike on previous occasions.
Vueko is worried about everyone’s safety in the meanwhile as the struggle intensifies with each hour that passes. She thinks back on Riko’s unselfish acts of kindness and is moved by her generosity. She ends herself being cursed once more because she is unaware that some of the village’s walls have started to crumble. Her face starts to fall off immediately, but she is saved happily shortly after. She subsequently discovers, however, that her soul has already been harmed.
Made in Abyss Season 2 Episode 12 Ending Explained
Faputa becomes even more enraged as the outside creatures pour into the city and attack the residents. With Juroimoh, she unleashes a brutal fight that seems to have no end. The two eventually come up against a Turbinid dragon. The intense conflict ignites Faputa’s heart, but Juroimoh suddenly perishes in combat, and she is left alone.
Faputa, however, exhibits absolutely no fear and keeps on fighting the Turbinid dragon. Reg suddenly shows up by her side, which surprises her. He clarifies to her that he is there to fight by her side rather than rehashing their previous disputes. Faputa approaches some of the villagers who were with Riko and Nanachi as he manages the Turbinid dragons. She explains that she intends to exploit them to obtain the village’s remaining value and eventually demolish it.
She is surprised to hear Moogie clarify that they also approached her for the same reason. Riko’s use of the White Whistle once more helps Reg combat the Turbinid dragons more successfully in the meantime. Faputa, on the other hand, begins obliterating the community to grant her mother the tranquilly she deserves. She eventually realizes her goal as the village’s walls start to fall apart and pieces of rubble started to fall from the sky. At that point, everyone knows that the Narehate Village Ilblu is disintegrating.
Is Vueko Dead at the End?
Riko and her friends leave the village once it is eventually destroyed to protect themselves from the rubble. Faputa, who has also expended all of her strength at this point, stumbles into a deep crevasse. She seems to have accepted her fate as she falls, but Reg saves her at the very last second. They eventually arrive at a cave up ahead and decide to spend some time there.
Riko and her pals, who have made it through the tragedy without suffering any serious injuries, are also with Veuko. Vueko is not so fortunate as she continues to struggle for breath. She crawls in the direction of Faputa once she can finally see her in front of her. Faputa becomes highly intrigued due to realising that she formerly shared a close relationship with her mother.
She hugs Vueko and inquires about her mother’s personality. She is surprised to learn that Vueko is not afraid to admit that Irumyuui used to be quite clingy and was not like her. She continues, as Faputa observes in silence, to briefly describe the times the two of them had spent together. Unfortunately, Vueko’s condition has deteriorated to the point that her breathing is getting harder by the minute.
Vueko’s body desperately tries to resist the anguish but ultimately fails, and she passes away. Faputa had only moments earlier expressed how much Vueko meant to her mother and how she had never discussed her with anybody else because she was truly entirely hers. Faputa doesn’t know her, but as Vueko dies, she can’t hold back her sorrow and sobs uncontrollably.
Faputa accepts Reg’s invitation to Go with Him and his Friends.
Faputa decides to bury Veuko properly after her passing. She sobs and suddenly remembers that she recently lost Gaburoon as well. Reg approaches her as she is about to collapse entirely and asks her to accompany him and his friends on their next exploits. Faputa becomes enraged and protests that he cannot expect her to do such a thing. Because the memories of their time together in the past have been completely erased.
Reg is temporarily surprised but argues that even if that is true, they may still embark on a new adventure. They must give each other another chance now that he profoundly understands her character. Faputa first baulks, but eventually decides to go on another adventure with Reg and his companions.
