After a lot of problems and delays behind the scenes, Scream 7 has finally begun filming. This is a big step forward for the long-awaited horror sequel. A lot of people were excited when director Kevin Williamson told them that his first day on set was over. Williamson, who wrote the first Scream and Scream 3, is returning to the franchise and was happy to be given the chance to direct this new chapter. He wrote about the event on Instagram, calling it “one of the best days” of his life.
Williamson also paid tribute to the late Wes Craven in his post. Craven was the famous director of the Scream movies. He talked about how much Craven had been on his mind all day, recognizing how much the director had affected both his life and career.
The Instagram post showed fans what the set looked like, but Williamson didn’t say much else. The big secret? That’s the first look at the real Scream 7 logo. The logo still has the classic Scream look, but it now has a big red “7” and bloody splatters for that signature horror effect.

There were some problems with making Scream 7, like when lead actress Melissa Barrera was fired and Jenna Ortega had to leave because of a conflicting schedule. But now things are back on track. Williamson is taking over as director, and Campbell will play Sidney Prescott again. Fans can also look forward to seeing Courteney Cox and Mason Gooding again as well as new actors Anna Camp, Celeste O’Connor, and McKayla Grace.
