Season 5 of ‘The Resident’ debuted on FOX on September 21, 2021, with the season finale airing on May 17, 2022. The 5th season of the show consists of 23 episodes, each lasting 43-45 minutes.

Because the network’s discussions with 20th Television were apparently tough, the decision to continue the show came down to the wire. Dr. Ian Sullivan is diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and goes through a difficult but successful operation. Kit and Bell get together with their coworkers to celebrate their engagement. Conrad goes to Billie and Cade separately to ask one of them out.
Conrad’s romantic interest may be revealed in the sixth season, either Billie or Cade. Devon might reconsider leaving Chastain now that he’s reunited with Leela. After coming to Atlanta, Ian Sullivan is anticipated to fight his cancer with his daughter Cade.
