Spoilers for Season 2 Episode 5 of Truth Be Told
‘If I Didn’t Laugh, You’d Cry,’ is the title of Episode 5, and it looks like it will be a good one.
After the traumatic end of episode 4, we can expect to learn about Poppy’s whereabouts and condition.
Micah’s reasons have also gotten hazy, and we may learn more about them, as well as her connection with suspicious Shelter employee Holt Rollins.
Micah’s supposedly dark secrets, which her late assistant knew about, could be revealed as part of the investigation into Ramon’s murder.
Poppy’s agonising separation from Ingram will almost certainly continue, and we can expect to see more of Poppy’s father Shreve as he battles his deteriorating mental condition.
The case against Poppy looms in the background, even if it doesn’t appear to be a top concern.
If incriminating evidence of Poppy’s podcast affecting people’s mental health emerges, it could be terrible.
Recap of Season 2 Episode 4 of Truth Be Told
The fourth episode begins with a flashback to immediately before Ramon’s death, when he is arguing with Micah and telling her that Joshua despised her.
He returns to his apartment and is discovered dead on the sidewalk after being pushed out of his window.
A man wearing a baseball cap flees the area, but his identity is unknown. Markus, on the other hand, believes the man is Holt Rollins, a Shelter employee who has been accused of blackmailing his coworkers by secretly filming them.
Ingram and Poppy have an emotional talk in the second half of the episode, in which the former announces that he is returning to New York.
Earlier in the episode, the two discuss Alana Cave’s case against Poppy, in which she claims that Poppy’s podcast is to blame for her husband’s death.
Poppy arrives at Micah’s house to find her friend being violently assaulted by Holt, and the episode concludes with her arriving at Micah’s house to see her friend being forcefully molested by Holt.
Poppy gets smacked on the back of her head by an unseen intruder before she can phone the cops.
