Angela Hester, Who is She?

When Angela Rose McCraw met Matthew Hester, she was a single mother of three children. She moved in with her children as his roommate, but the two quickly became romantically involved. In 2014, the couple married. Matthew had been divorced from Annie Hester for a few years at the time.

Annie contacted 911 on June 10, 2016, to report being attacked in her apartment. Even though she died later from her injuries, the crime scene produced crucial information. Angela claimed to have puked on herself with Matthew helping her clean up when the authorities first questioned her.

The custody struggle between Matthew and Annie for their daughter was then disclosed. Angela believed her children had disabilities and wanted to give them prescription medicines, according to the investigators. Angela and Matthew both thought his and Annie’s daughter had bipolar disorder, which Annie denied swiftly.

Angela had been unemployed since 2006, and according to court documents, she suffered from extreme anxiety and disliked going out in public. Angela had even identified mental problems in her children, such as autism and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Aaron McCraw, her ex-husband, claims that was the basis for their divorce. Angela’s profile was later matched by DNA evidence found on one of the knives found at the scene. This put her near the crime site. Then there was a bloody bootprint that was the same size as Angela’s shoes from 2015 and was thought to be the same brand.

She allegedly broke into the flat by removing an air conditioner from the window, according to the police. Furthermore, at the time of the murder, a vehicle matching the description of the one used by Angela and Matthew was seen at the apartment. Angela was caught more than a year later, in October 2017.
