“You’re Cordially Invited” is an American romantic comedy set in 2025. It’s a funny, heartfelt, and crazy story about wedding plans that get mixed up. A STORY OF A MOVIE
The story is about Jim (Will Ferrell), a loving dad to his Gen Z daughter Jenni (Geraldine Viswanathan), who is getting ready for her wedding. Jim cares a lot about Jenni’s happiness because he is still sad about the death of his wife. When she tells him she’s going to marry Oliver (Stony Blyden), Jim is determined to find the perfect wedding location. He books the beautiful Palmetto House, a resort that holds special meaning for him.
At the same time, Margot, a tense TV producer from Los Angeles played by Reese Witherspoon—plans her younger sister Nev’s (Meredith Hagner) wedding while she is pregnant and planning her own wedding to her loving but not very smart fiancé Jimmy Tatro. Margot tells her sister that the wedding will be perfect, so she books the same place.
But things go crazy when both groups find out that the Palmetto House was booked by someone else. The two control-freak organizers have to work out their differences and find a way to share the space. This leads to funny fights, touching moments and shocking revelations.
