Avery Solomon and Reid Rubio “Forever Summer: Hamptons” TV Show Journey
Intriguingly, Avery, a Tulane University student, always regarded Reid Rubio as one of her closest friends. She had no qualms about telling him anything and everything. Although the show showed Reid as a people-pleaser who frequently went against his or her own interests to appease others, his relationship with Avery was devoid of these flaws, and the two appeared to enjoy each other’s company quite a bit.
On the other hand, Avery mentioned that she and Emelye had been best friends since the seventh grade when she introduced her on the show. But as soon as Milo Munchin and Lottie Evans joined the group, Avery formed strong bonds with them and drifted away from her childhood pal. Emelye detested such a development but chose not to speak up to Avery.
However, things reached a breaking point when Reid threw a party but left Emelye and her boyfriend, Hunter Hulse, off the guest list. Emelye was quite unhappy by this and texted Reid in an abrasive manner, accusing him of being to blame for the fallout in the first place because Avery had found better friends.
Reid first appeared to laugh the text off and even gave Avery the assurance that he supported her. But, to appease both sides, he nevertheless discreetly invited Emelye and Hunter to the gathering and then started disparaging Avery.
Naturally, Avery did not appreciate Reid’s hypocrisy, and she quickly started to avoid him when the group got together. Even Reid made no effort to reach out on his own when their hostility became very obvious. Finally, as the summer was about to close, Reid decided it was time to put the past behind him and sat down with Avery for a heart-to-heart.
The Tulane University student was grateful that Reid had accepted responsibility for his actions, even though she didn’t appear convinced entirely by his apologies. They both hoped their friendship would move past this setback.
