According to the station, the two were detained on suspicion of aggravated first-degree murder and first-degree criminal conspiracy to commit murder after a thorough investigation.

It was discovered that Kevin was at home when the bullets were fired, despite his denials when he was first taken into custody for the murder. The case was stuck until an anonymous tip-giver came in with information about the murder in August 2018. The woman claimed that a youngster suggested being hired to assassinate someone in Everett during a party she had attended in Spokane, Washington. According to the program, the adolescent stated that the shooter was her boyfriend, Jerradon Phelps.

According to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, Amanda Canales was the target of the hit that her ex-husband, 31-year-old Kevin Lewis, had planned. According to investigators, Lewis paid a 20-year-old Tacoma man and a 17-year-old Spokane girl $2,400 each to commit the murder.

According to KIRO, the victim, Alisha Canales-McGuire, was just married and looking to start a family.

Amanda Canales told the station, “What I want people to remember is Alisha.” She was an incredible sister, a fantastic friend to many people, and an incredible aunt.

Everyone was aware that her ex-husband was accountable, she claimed, “from day one.” Canales said that Lewis physically abused her after abusing her mentally.

People should be aware of and able to spot red flags, Canales said. “My sister might still be alive if I had caught that earlier,” he added.

According to KIRO, Lewis’ cousin, Jerradon Phelps, and Phelps’ teen girlfriend are the two suspects charged with carrying out the failed attack. The duo, who were residents of Spokane at the time of the murder, are said by investigators to have driven to Snohomish County at that time, according to the station.

Shortly after the murder, according to detectives, Phelps posted pictures on social media showing multiple $100 notes, and his 17-year-old girlfriend is believed to have boasted to several individuals that she had been recruited to kill someone, according to KIRO.

The adolescent, whose name is being kept, is reportedly being held in a juvenile detention center while Phelps is reportedly being held in the Snohomish County Jail.
