Spoilers for the Season 5 Finale of Billions
As the conflict between Chuck Rhoades and Bobby Axelrod rages on, the advantage now belongs to the former, with Axelrod on the verge of going to prison.
We’ve seen both sides do things that have made them question their own morality throughout the season, but this has also resulted in unfavourable results.
So, in the twelfth episode, dubbed “No Direction Home,” we’ll find out what happens to Axe, the man who finds himself without a plan.
We can’t overlook the important responsibilities Taylor and Wendy have had to play, and they might devise a scheme that has repercussions for those far up the power ladder!
Here’s a trailer that will give you a better idea of what to expect!
Recap of Episode 11 of Season 5 of Billions
The eleventh episode, dubbed “Victory Smoke,” represents the start of Axe’s slow decline.
He wants to add to his bank account before his scheme backfires. Chuck Sr. is tasked with notifying the Delaware Attorney General that the bank has completed its probationary period.
In exchange, he wants a cut of the profits they’ll generate from the marijuana trade.
One of Axe’s main goals is to defeat Mike Prince, so he approaches a cannabis company called Fine Young Cannabis, hoping that the company’s owner, music producer Dawn Winslow, will be on his side rather than Prince’s.
Axe’s guy Hall also overhears Prince’s impending business pitch, allowing Axe to keep one step ahead.
Things start to go wrong when he makes a deal with Winslow, who had previously purchased cannabis on the illicit market.
Chuck ensures that his adversary is prosecuted for his involvement with a corporation that engages in illicit activities.
So Axe is left with nothing but his team, who are even more unsure about what to do next. Prince is also remorseful for enlisting his daughters in the business pitch he presented just to frame Axe.
Furthermore, Chuck and Wendy are unable to agree on issues.
