Cracow Monsters Season 1 Recap

Recap of Season 1 of ‘Cracow Monsters’

Alex,” Aleksandra Walas, lives in a shared room with Mary as a nomad, suffering hideous nightmares and drowning her troubles in booze. Her mother had a traumatic history with her. She sits for the entrance exam for the forensic pathology department of an old medical college after some studying.

Lucky, the examination guard, has looked over the documents and found them to be uninteresting. Alex’s paper, on the other hand, catches Professor Zawadzki’s eye thanks to her drawing of Aitvaras, the nature spirit.

Lucky searches the internet and discovers a fringe YouTuber discussing Alex’s mother’s death on Route 99 and how Alex was unexpectedly saved. If the YouTuber is to be believed, she has miraculously survived two near-death encounters. Lucky is asked by the professor to investigate her.

Alex walks to the pub with some hallucinogenic drugs because Lucky knows where he goes to drink. He takes Alex on a drive and jumps out of the car near the edge of a cliff. The car crashes into a body of water. Alex, on the other hand, notices a light that transforms into a white deity. It comes to her aid.

We learn later that Alex’s energy attracts demons, yet she lives under Aitvaras’ protection. Alex awakens the following day as though from a dream. She goes to collect her alimony, but the receptionist informs her that she must relocate since she has been chosen to dwell in the professor’s meticulously maintained dorm.

She finds the dorm after passing via a dodgy apparel store and meeting Lucky, who assigns her to a room and begs her to stay still. Alex comes out the door after hearing Lucky and the professor discussing the drowning tragedy. She runs across Rafel, the same boy she bought breakfast from the day before.

Rafel goes around in a hypnotic condition, chanting Slavic chants. Alex encounters a creature in Rafel’s house that she later describes as “a love offspring of a moth, a monkey, and an owl.” She tosses water at the thing and then pours the bathtub over it. It erupts into lava, leaving behind a black pumice body.

In the meantime, the professor arrives and learns Rafel is no longer alive. Rafel, on the other hand, blinks at Alex. Because the creature appears to be a lesser deity named Harewit, he could be possessed by something wicked.

A miner boss discovers a three-legged object, which is subsequently proven to be a bone from the prehistoric creature Hvor, in a related incident. Despite his coworkers’ suggestions that it is of no worth, he takes the object home. It speaks with him and leads him to Rafel, where he becomes the ghoul’s servant.

Meanwhile, the ghoul creates havoc at a morgue by resurrecting the dead. Marcholt, lesser devils, Lucky believes those monsters are. He also reveals that the Slavic pantheon is structured in a pyramidal fashion, with master-servant connections.

Rafel is possessed, and he summons two female demons (Hollowshees) from black water to track out Alex. In comparison, one works as a waitress at a pub, the other breaks into Gigi’s dorm and seduces her. Others use music to block out the wailing, but they have no idea what is going on in the room.

Alex and Lucky find themselves at a bar where the female demon has taken up the position of waitress. The devil poisons their drink, and Pivka, the drunks’ minor deity, forbids them from drinking it. The deity exits after Alex declares she can handle it.

While she searches for the deity, Lucky consumes the poisoned beverage. Lucky pings Alex down on the basin slab in his poisoned state, kissing fiercely. When they return to the dorm, they discover Gigi nearly dead, with the other Hollowshee piled on top of him.

Cracow Monsters Season 1 Ending Explained

Is Alex and Wanda the Same Person in ‘Cracow Monsters Season 1’?

While Alex pursues the Hollowshee in search of Harewit’s cave, Iliana and others use a ceremony (including burning pigs) to save Gigi. Harewit, in the form of Rafel, tramples the waitress Hollowshee cruelly, while the other shrieks in agony. The narrative becomes worse with the entrance of the massive Winter Spas.

Three bodies, found frozen and hanging from a tree, are brought in by the professor. The same fate befalls two nuns. The first names of Winter Spas are spoken, and the town is thrown into disarray. Professor Zawadzki turns against the groups in order to save his son, Feliks. Alex opens her mother’s purse with the help of her fledgling romantic interest, revealing a key to the parallel worlds’ axis.

Alex makes his first trip to the underworld and emerges as the first person to do so. She also realises that she is Wanda, and that she is the only one who can defeat Hvor. Well, Alex is a reincarnation of Princess Wanda, Krakus’s daughter, who drowned in a lake on purpose.

Alex and Wanda communicate in the underworld by vibrating a wall. Wanda was also present during Alex’s birth, and she died while assuming the form of a newborn. Alex must release Wanda, according to the mysterious instructions of the deity they meet in hell. Alex should reach the divine core and be able to return to the mortal realm after nine steps to the three underworld circles.

“Nine will merge with nine” – Alex discovers the portal at the crossroads of three mounds, her birthdate of 08.01.2001 adds up to three, and she falls into the underground’s third circle. Wanda is actually freed, yet she is trapped in the process.

Alex, on the other hand, receives a new lease on life thanks to her rescuer deity. But it’s possible that she’ll have to summon her inner princess Wanda and take up her mission to defeat Hvor. When history should repeat itself, the denouement takes place under the terrifying red moon.

Wanda should die once more, and the evil god should usher in a new era. However, as Alex’s mother, Jagna, reveals in the underworld, the era will see women rise to prominence. Alex kills the evil deity, thereby completing the prophecy and ushering in a new era. After all, she did kill a god, and the consequences are still being felt.

Cracow Monsters Season 1 Ending

Is Lucky Still Alive or Dead In ‘Cracow Monsters’ Season 1 Finale ?

Lucky dies at the pub, as you may recall from the seventh episode’s conclusion. A masked man murders him in cold blood, and the crowd slowly disperses. Alex, the Professor, and others believe Lucky is no longer alive. Alex, on the other hand, returns to the hostel dumbfounded.

Iliana intuitively knows the truth, and the chosen kids are enveloped in melancholy. The ending, on the other hand, holds a significant surprise for the audience. The deity visits Lucky, who appears to be alive, on her own initiative.

Now, no one knows how he is still alive. The first theory holds that he was never truly dead in the first place. Despite Alex’s belief that he was dead, he survived the knife attack. The second theory is that the celestial deity Aitvaras, by her magical abilities, brings him back to life.

The third theory is that Lucky is merely a conduit for another wicked deity, and that he is not truly alive. We don’t know if Lucky, among the selected nine, has any special abilities beyond his incredible knowledge of mythology, and perhaps a second season would help us find out.
