Demon Slayer Season 2 Release Date – The manga series of the same name, written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge, inspired the Japanese anime series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. The second season included two parts, the first of which was titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mugen Train Arc, a seven-episode recompilation of “Mugen Train” as featured in the 2020 anime film, with new music and an entirely new original episode. It aired from October 10 to November 28, 2021.
The second season also included volumes seven to eleven (chapters 55–97) of the manga series. From December 5, 2021, until February 13, 2022, 11 episodes of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Entertainment District Arc was broadcast. The staff and actors from the first season as well as Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train, returned. The season was directed by Haruo Sotozaki and featured character designs by Akira Matsushima and animation created by Ufotable.
It’s wonderful news for fans of the English-language television series Demon Slayer because the show’s second season is now available on Netflix. On January 14, Netflix started broadcasting a message through the Demon Slayer listing on their streaming service.
Demon Slayer Season 2 Release Date
On January 21, Demon Slayer Season 2 will debut, and it will feature a scene from the first episode of the Mugen Train arc in which Rengoku helps several village people. At this point, it’s still being determined if this will include all of the second season’s episodes or just those that adapt the Mugen Train arc.
The good news is that this is for English dub viewers. Netflix has a history of delaying the release of anime seasons until an English dub is available for them, except simulcast programmes like Komi can’t Communicate. This suggests that the release of the dub for Demon Slayer’s second season will coincide with the second season’s release, offering viewers more alternatives for watching the show outside Crunchyroll.
All of this occurs as viewers eagerly await the arrival of the third season. The third season’s first episode, which will debut in theatres in April, along with the final two episodes of Season 2, will debut simultaneously. Although tickets are still unavailable for preorder or buying, they should become accessible to the general public as the dates of the theatrical run get closer.
Netflix’s second season of Demon Slayer
Although the second season of Demon Slayer started on Crunchyroll in 2021 and ended only in February 2022, Netflix subscribers no longer had to wait for it. Additionally, even though the Demon Slayer Season 1 finale was shown on September 28, 2019, it was available on Netflix on January 22, 2021, about 16 months later.
On January 21, 2023, Netflix will release all 18 episodes of Demon Slayer Season 2.
