Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World Season 2: Renewed or Cancelled? – A harem isekai anime called “Isekai Meikyuu de Harem wo” is based on the Japanese light novel series of the same name by Shachi Sogano.
Studio Passione, a Japanese animation studio best known for producing the animes Mieruko-chan, Higurashi: When They Cry Gou/SOTSU, Citrus, Love Flops, Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers, and High School DxD Hero, created the first season of “Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World.”
Michio Kaga, a typical high school student who unexplainably travels by teleportation into a small-town community, is the episode’s focus. He soon recognizes that he is back in the game he was just playing, and fortunately, he also has a powerful sword. Since he is unable to log out, Michio accepts his fate and chooses to use in-game features to gratify his petty needs.
The Harem Isekai anime has won over many anime fans worldwide despite being criticized for its overly sexualized stories. As a result, after season 1, there were many online rumors about the show’s future. If you’re a fan and want to know if “Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World” will have season 2 or not, we’ve got you covered.

Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World Season 2 Release Date
Season 1 of “Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World” debuted on July 6 and ended on September 21 of the same year. The series has twelve episodes, each of which lasts roughly 22–24 minutes.
The Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World Season 2 release date has not been formally confirmed by Studio Passione, Kadokawa, Crunchyroll, Shufunotomo, AT-X, or any other organization connected to the anime’s development as of the most recent update. A sequel to Isekai Meikyuu de Harem Season 2 has not yet been confirmed.
The pertinent details will be added to this post once the news is formally confirmed.
In the meantime, it is feasible to make predictions about the future release date of Isekai Harem Season 2.
Selling sex is profitable. Everyone is aware of that. But it wouldn’t be nearly as contentious if this anime were just an isekai story with actual adult situations. Reviews for The Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World have been significantly worse than typical, partly because Michio Kaga, the protagonist, is a complete douchebag.
Even Kazuya Kinoshita from Rent-A-Girlfriend could feel embarrassed after witnessing Michio’s conduct and responses to his situation, which are so immediately excessive. Within hours of entering a dream world, Michio is ready to succumb to his lecherous compulsions, literally purchasing an enslaved person to sate his adolescent libido.
Since the world accepts slavery, Michio has no self-doubt or hesitation about engaging in it. He concentrated his line of questions to slave broker Allen on whether his desired love slave would be able to escape his perspiration readily.
Even after discovering that the world’s magic system automatically degrades fleeing escaping slaves and marks them as bandits on their Intelligence Cards, Michio continues on a killing rampage where he murders bandits in their sleep for the bounties without giving any thought to their circumstances. To be honest, the anime does appear to portray every bandit killed as a member of a criminal gang, but is every bandit a criminal or someone attempting to flee injustice in this harsh world? Before becoming a slave, Roxanne was an adventuring party member.
However, that compelled defense ignores social pressure and Roxanne’s clear initial hesitation. Apologists can try to claim that the innocent Roxanne supposedly “consented” to praising her master and that she knew this would happen after instructing Allen to enhance her sale price. Never mind that we are expected to take a slave trader’s word for it.
People who try to justify Michio’s actions also draw comparisons to Naofumi from The Rising of the Shield Hero. Still, the key distinction is that Naofumi was compelled to purchase Raphtalia out of desperation because he was physically incapable of using any weapon other than his shield.
Although Naofumi’s motives were selfish initially, he eventually treated Raphtalia respectfully and considered her a daughter. Later on, other people even voluntarily employed the magical enslavement system to improve their combat skills with associated metrics instead of using it to enforce Naofumi’s impure desires on other people.
In contrast, when he quickly defeated the robbers, Michio was given strong tools and the sword Durandal upon entering this fantastical world, not to mention a large sum of money. Michio’s choice to buy an enslaved person was only motivated by lust for Roxanne and not out of dire need.
Even the criminal deeds of Redo of Healer’s anti-hero Keyaru are easier to comprehend than Michio’s. Keyaru was undoubtedly clinically mad since she endured years of terrible abuse at the hands of the heroes. But after carrying out his retaliation, even Keyaru realized that his explanations for his severe actions were made up, as his indoctrinated harem started to have a good impact on his insane psyche.
Even when Michio is not interacting with Roxanne, his activities are very dubious. He always screws over new characters when he meets them… or simply screws them straight!
Since Episode 2 made it very evident that Michio is an absentee father who fathered a child during an impromptu connection before disappearing for ten years (I presume Michio went out for cigarettes? ), he leaves damaged lives and families in his wake. As a result, audiences find it challenging to identify with a selfish character whose deeds are nearly universally repugnant.
True fans of the anime and its corresponding manga are aware of this. The intended audience doesn’t want to have moments of profound self-reflection based on a thought-provoking isekai story; they want to see Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World uncensored with good animation and let their libidos take control.
The Overlord, Mushoku Tensei, The Saga of Tanya the Evil, Re: ZERO, Ascendance of a Bookworm, I’m Standing on a Million Lives, or Parallel World Pharmacy are not to be compared to such lofty ideas in this anime. The fictitious plot of Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World is only glitzy window dressing because a Japanese high school student wants to marry numerous women of various ethnicities to indulge his fantasies.
Let’s get right to the point: It’s just a crude, vulgar isekai that was only ever meant to rule the garbage heap. The mythical elements and the action sequences were nicely drawn and directed, so the TV show is sure to draw thirsty fans even if we overlook Michio’s creepy dialogue and character defects.
The likelihood of an anime sequel mainly depends on streaming income and sales of the uncensored Isekai Meikyuu de Harem wo Blu-Ray/DVD box sets, regardless of how good the animated fantasy parts are. There is a significant likelihood that the anime will be renewed based on the history of similar anime.
After all, the Season 2 premiere of Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time was scheduled for 2022. The Redo of Healer Season 2 is reportedly being “considered” by the anime production committee for Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi.
Regarding popularity for streaming, the anime Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World frequently appeared in the top 20 of Crunchyroll’s list of the most popular anime throughout the summer of 2022. So, although Episode 1 made the story’s focus obvious, people continued to watch the anime since it was so well-liked.
It’s possible that a portion of this success might be linked to HIDIVE’s appropriation of numerous significant Summer 2022 exclusives, including Made in Abyss, Call of the Night, Vermeil in Gold, My Isekai Life, and DanMachi. Since there is less competition, more Crunchyroll-only members are likely to watch anime series that might normally be overlooked in favor of more popular seasonal offerings.
Not only a streaming licensor but also one of the anime production committee’s direct producers, Crunchyroll, should be included. In light of this, Isekai Harem Season 2 has a good chance of succeeding, independent of the uncut BD sales figures.
Given everything discussed above, we anticipate that “Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World” season 2 will debut sometime in early 2024.
Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World Season 2 Plot Synopsis
Season 2 is expected to see Michio’s friendship with Roxanne and Seri grow more passionate as the group continues to explore more covertly. At some point, Michio will participate in a relief effort for a calamity. Additionally, he will go to the realm of the Duke of Harz and ultimately participate in some of the events there. Michio is anticipated to include Vesta and Rutina in his harem despite already having Roxanne and Seri, as hinted at in the season 1 conclusion.
Given that he would need to spend more time with other girls as well, it will be intriguing to watch how the dynamics of his relationship with Roxanne will change. At least in Seri’s case, Roxanne has appeared relatively secure, but her loyalty to Michio will undoubtedly be put to the test soon. When “Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World” returns for season 2, fans may anticipate more romantic action episodes.
Anime fans can watch the two OVA episodes of Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World in the interim. “After Washing Your Body (Karada o Aratta Ato wa…)” and “Until The Very End With Roxanne (Roxanne to Saigo Made)” are the titles of these two supplementary extra episodes. On November 25, 2022, and December 23, 2022, two Blu-ray/DVD box volumes will be released, including the two new episodes.
