Who was Lloyd Avery?

Lloyd Fernandez Avery II was born on June 21, 1969, in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California, to parents Lloyd Avery Sr. and Linda Avery. Lloyd Avery, a Beverly Hills High School graduate, had his acting debut in John Singleton’s 1991 Oscar-nominated first film Boyz n The Hood, portraying a Bloods gang member who kills one of the protagonists and is eventually slain by other gang members. After the turn of the century, Avery appeared in many other films.

Shortly after the film’s premiere in 1991, he reportedly moved into the Jungle, a Bloods gang-affiliated neighbourhood in South Los Angeles. He began wearing red regularly, frequently in combination with khakis and Chuck Taylors, becoming firmly rooted in the streets and eventually getting “JUNGLEZ” tattooed over his left eyebrow.

Since turning 30 in June 1999, Avery has committed several disturbing acts, such as being fired from one film for accidentally breaking into a prison and nearly being fired from another film for threatening to kill the director.

He abandoned his previous house, began stealing, was accused of bringing a pistol to an audition, and flashed a firearm during a confrontation on the Venice Beach boardwalk.

When he was shot, Lloyd Avery, a gang member, met a gruesome end in the Jungle on July 1, 1999. Avery allegedly approached Annette Lewis and Percy Branch, who was later identified by police, at approximately 4:00 p.m. on the Santa Barbara Plaza.

After a brief disagreement, Avery shot both victims, possibly for a drug debt. Lewis passed away on the same day he sustained injuries, while Branch passed away three weeks later. After that, he continued to pursue a career in film and performed in two more films while on the run until his capture near his grandmother’s home in the Beverly Hills region on December 8.

What Did Lloyd Avery Do?

Avery’s life took a sad turn in The Jungle on July 1, 1999, when he fatally murdered two individuals over what authorities believed to be a drug dispute. According to the police report, Avery approached Annette Lewis and Percy Branch around 4:00 p.m. in Santa Barbara Plaza.

Avery fatally shot both victims during an argument. Lewis died from his wounds on the same day as Branch, who died barely three weeks later. After that, he continued to work in Hollywood and starred in two more films before being arrested outside his grandmother’s Beverly Hills house on December 8.

How Did Lloyd Avery Die?

Lloyd Avery converted to Christianity while serving a life sentence in prison, rose to prominence in the prison’s church, and began referring to himself as Baby Jesus. The prison officials placed him in the same cell with Kevin Roby, a convicted murderer who turned to Satanism and now signs as Satanic Christ. The two prisoners had numerous religious disagreements.

On September 4, 2005, Roby assaulted Avery during a theological debate. According to sources, the second individual murdered the former star by bludgeoning and suffocating him and then using his body in a Satanic ceremony. Two days later, jail guards discovered the victim’s body in the shape of a pentagram on the floor. According to the autopsy results, the premature death of the 36-year-old was linked to asphyxiation and blunt force trauma.
