Both Milo and Iris are still missing. Better security measures are scheduled to be retrofitted for Kingstown. Here is a detailed summary of Episode 3.
Mayor of Kingstown Season 2 Episode 3 “Five at Five” Recap
Milo, a Russian mobster, checks in on Iris at the beginning of the third episode. She has, at last, come back to him, looking for a new place to live and perhaps a new job. Iris quickly resumes her previous line of employment. Meanwhile, Mike is frantic with worry since he can’t seem to locate her anywhere. He is fully aware that Iris will either die or wish she was dead if she falls into the wrong hands.
The police department’s decision to search Bunny’s grandmother’s home added to Mike’s concerns. Mike needs Bunny to be on his side, but Ian and the group appear determined to break every single one of his ties. Unafraid to cause a scene outside Ian and Stevie’s building, Mike travels to the police station to confront them there. After all, they need Bunny on their side, so he demands that they cease breaking into his locations. Ian argues in favor of the Force, saying that they were powerless to stop the raid and behaved admirably. Mike could care less because he is aware of the consequences of this action.
Bunny tells his followers to unwind and trust in Mike’s intentions as they return to tent city. Mike shows up to discuss the most recent arrangements with Bunny as we’re talking about the devil. While assuring Bunny that he is working on his grand scheme, he asks what else he can do. When it’s time for “Five at Five,” Bunny requests that the guards go. To reclaim some control, he wants to start his first strategy internally. Mike makes sure that every guard is aware of this plan.
Mike is experiencing his typical hectic day. He meets with his brother Kyle, who was put on leave following the shooting in the previous episode. Kyle resigned after being placed on unpaid leave, but he still needs a job. Ian advises him to wait as the paperwork progresses, but he needs to stay busy. When his brother begs him to look for Iris, he asks Mike if he knows of any jobs. Despite his desperation, Kyle rejects this one job in particular.
By catching up with one of Milo’s associates, Joseph, Mike is able to continue his independent search for Iris. Playing dumb, the criminal claims not to know about Milo’s escape or Iris’ whereabouts. Iris returns to her life at the brothel because, of course, he is working with the gangster. She receives compensation and her own room. Iris makes friends with another prostitute named Tatiana, who gives her some tranquillizer drugs. Iris made the decision to go back to Milo, although she appears heartbroken to be living her old life once more. Did she believe he had evolved?
Next, Mike is seduced by Tatiana into joining the club. When Tatiana mentions Iris, Mike rushes over. In search of Iris, he sneaks past the club and ascends the stairs, but Joseph suddenly knocks him out and beats him. Mike takes typical measures to disarm his adversary as soon as the enemy becomes enraged by his suspicion that Tatiana’s infant is Joseph’s. He thrusts the gun into Joseph’s face and commands him to tell Milo that he knows he is out there and that he will be found.
Mayor of Kingstown Season 2 Episode 3 Ending Explained: What Happens to Bunny in the Prison?
Tatiana and Mike meet outside his workplace. She tells him that she knows where Iris is and offers him information about her. She provides him with the address of a club in the alley and offers to assist him in locating her if he requests it. Mike enters the club through the rear door after arriving late at night. A blow to the head knocks him asleep while he looks for Iris. When he opens his eyes, he sees Joseph and a few other men standing before him.
When Mike inquires about Iris, Joseph responds that she is most likely dead. Mike becomes incensed by this and confronts Joseph about the infant he saw the last time he saw him. When Mike takes the gun out of Joseph’s hand and holds it to his face, he reminds everyone in the room of his past as a prisoner and stops Joseph from hitting him in the head with a gun again. He instructs Joseph to inform Milo that he will be coming for him. After saying this, he moves on.
At five o’clock the following morning, guards turn their backs on Tent City. What happens next is a vicious brawl, precisely as Bunny had warned Mike the day before. However, before things return to normal, Bunny suffers a few setbacks. When Mike gets to Tent City that evening, he discovers Bunny badly bruised. Mike is warned by Bunny of the consequences if he is not released from prison within the next 48 hours after learning about the raid on his home.
Mike instructs the security guard to prevent anyone from touching Bunny as he leaves. The Kingstown Police Department officers went too far by involving the family. Now, if Bunny’s predictions come true, retribution will also fall on them. The only way Mike can stop this is to ensure Bunny and his family are secure inside until he learns when Bunny will be released. Before it’s too late, Mike must also locate Iris.
Additionally, we are still determining what Milo has in mind. Everything is in the dark right now, and Mike is by himself. If any of his ideas come to fruition, it will be revealed in Episode 4 of the second season of “Mayor of Kingstown.”
