“One of Them Days” Plot: Summary

Dreux and Alyssa, two roommates who live in a run-down apartment, are suddenly being kicked out when their landlord demands $1,500 in rent by 6 PM. What’s the catch? They believed they had already paid. After looking into it, the two women find that Keyshawn, Alyssa’s boyfriend, has taken the rent money and left. Follow him to a woman named Berniece. That’s where they find out Keyshawn spent the money on his t-shirt business. A fight breaks out because of this, and Berniece is hit by a truck, which sets the stage for more chaos.

The two try a number of ways to get the $1,500 they need, but they don’t have any money or a car, and time is running out. Whether they were trying to sell Air Jordans or give blood, Dreux and Alyssa’s efforts to raise money only caused more trouble. By chance, they meet Maniac, a man Dreux had been interested in, and he helps them sell the Jordans. However, things get even more dangerous when the cruel King Lolo contacts them and demands $5,000 or else bad things will happen.

They are rushing to get the money together while the women, with the help of their new neighbor Bethany, plan an art gallery event on the spot. The event goes well, but just as they’re about to get their finances back on track, more problems come up. By the end of the night, the girls have outsmarted their enemies and even made up with each other. Dreux gets a job offer, Alyssa’s art business does well, and the friendship between the two women gets stronger.  But it’s not just the story that keeps people watching—the movie’s lively soundtrack also helps them enjoy the ups and downs of their journey.
