Jose Luis Nieva and Joseph Noel Godin were both found guilty of murder after being presented in court. As a result, Nieva received a 40-year prison sentence, while Godin received a 45-year prison sentence in 2007. Nieva is currently detained at the Huntsville Unit of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in Huntsville, Texas, and will be eligible for parole in 2026. Godin, on the other side, is serving his time at the W. J. “Jim” Estelle Unit in Huntsville, where he will be eligible for parole in 2028.
