Recap of Episode 1 of The Endgame
Elena Federova, an international armaments dealer, is brought to an FBI facility in Queens, New York, in the first episode of ‘The Endgame.’
When cops and Homeland Security try to question her about her contacts, she refuses to give any information and smugly suggests that her imprisonment will have consequences.
Meanwhile, a group of masked assailants sneak into a large bank in New York and kidnap hostages, and Elena claims she coordinated the attack.
The heist raises a stir among high-security authorities, and Elena goes on to say that there would be more if she is not released.
Val Turner, a federal agent, meets her imprisoned husband Owen, who is serving a ten-year term for collecting narcotics money from a criminal gang. She turned him in a year ago after finding his involvement and is currently working to have him released.
Owen, on the other hand, requests a divorce in order to keep her away from his problems.
Val ignores Owen’s offer and travels to the first heist site, where she is spurned by a superior and ordered away.
She has lost the respect of her coworkers as a result of her husband’s arrest, and she is struggling to establish her worth.
When a second bank is assaulted, Val follows her intuition and contacts Solomon Santillana, a former cartel boss with a large amount of money in the same bank. From the bank, Solomon speaks to her and denies his participation, but hints at Elena.
Val attempts to inform her superior about Elena’s mercenary gang known as “Snow White” being behind the heists, but he rejects her. After a third bank robbery, he takes her seriously and assigns her to Elena’s direct interrogation.
Val reveals to Attorney General Doblin that she and Elena met five years ago in the Gambia. She also discusses Elena’s deceased husband Sergei and the likelihood that she was detained by the FBI on purpose.
Elena notices Val and informs her that she is aware of her upcoming divorce. Furthermore, Owen’s divorce lawyer turns out to be Elena’s attorney’s partner.

In exchange for proof of Owen’s innocence, he tries to blackmail Val into assisting her. Val refuses and attempts to warn Doblin, requesting SWAT assistance, but he mocks her.
Despite high-security precautions, three additional bank robberies occur, leading the FBI to believe Elena will next attack the Federal Bank.
When Val arrives at the bank, she watches a board member being kidnapped by Necati Acar, the FBI’s mole. Elena’s mercenaries appear out of nowhere and pose as a SWAT team, deceiving Val and gaining access to the bank.
After seven bank robberies in a row, the FBI thinks Elena is up to something bigger and rushes to figure out her next move. To add to everyone’s concerns, she has singled out Val, who must now strive to outsmart her in her own game.
Is Sergei Alive at the End of Episode 1 of The Endgame?
Elena’s husband Sergei died eighteen months ago, according to Val, after being poisoned by her. Elena denies the claims and proudly declares that she adores him and that she has a kid with him.
Elena had agreed to collect Sergei’s body from Crimea in exchange for six cruise missiles, according to Val. Elena eventually indicates that her scheme may be motivated by love and the truth rather than money or power.
Sergei is revealed to be alive and in the same prison as Owen at the end of the episode. He is looking forward to Elena’s visit, and Owen appears to be aware of their intentions as well.
Elena’s motivations are most likely driven by her love for Sergei and a desire for retribution for past wrongdoing against them.
When did Elena and Val meet for the first time?
Val has a detailed file on Elena that she uses to establish her credibility with Doblin. When asked how she knows so much, Val replies that she went to the Gambia five years ago to investigate a coup.
A warlord named Galeo was torturing a fishermen’s community when Elena and five mercenaries arrived and poisoned him with heroin-laced smokes, quickly liberating the village.
The mercenaries also detonated a bomb at Galeo’s diamond mine but refused to take any of the loot. Elena then attempted to shoot Val but managed to flee and return to New York.
In the present, Elena admits that she deliberately targeted Val in order to pique her interest and make her search for her. Val, on the other hand, is perplexed as to why she and Snow White did not take any of Galeo’s million-dollar gems.
Elena’s purpose behind the bank robberies, she realises, isn’t money, but something much more terrible.
Which Story Did Elena tell Val?
Elena tells Val a legend about a young girl who adores her father but loses him in a sad accident that alters her life forever.
It turns out to be a true storey that took place six months after the Soviet Union fell apart. A child and her father fire a missile at a car, only to discover that one of the two passengers has managed to flee.
They find the little girl hidden in the woods, and the other girl stabs her in the abdomen as a result of their search.
Val believes the father and daughter in the narrative are Elena and her father at first. Val, on the other hand, is taken aback when Elena reveals that the girl who was stabbed was her and that her father died when their automobile was engulfed in flames by the missile.
Elena was able to outsmart and kill them despite the attack. She finally recovered from her wound, but the scar on her tummy remains, which she proudly displays to Val.
Elena begins to play with Val’s head with this incident, which she refers to as a “fairytale gone awry,” and drops intriguing clues about the true motive for her ambitions.
In addition, she shows her fondness for fairytales by naming her mercenary squad Snow White.
