The advent of a huge online role-playing game called Sword Art Online creates headlines in the year 2022 when technological developments have allowed players to control their game avatars with nothing but their thoughts.

Release Date for Sword Art Online Season 5
Season 4 (English dub) of ‘Sword Art Online‘ was published on Netflix in its entirety on February 6, 2022. It consists of 25 episodes, each lasting approximately 24-25 minutes.
The anime first aired in Japan from October 13, 2019, to September 20, 2020, before being released on Netflix. Here’s all we know about the anime’s fifth season so far.
As of currently, neither Studio A-1 Pictures nor any other entities engaged in the show’s producers have announced the anime’s renewal.
Fans should not be discouraged, though, because numerous volumes of Reki Kawahara’s manga series have yet to be converted.
The Moon Cradle and the Unital Ring arcs are the two frontrunners for the next instalment. However, because the former is only two volumes long, it is unlikely to serve as the foundation for a complete season.
As a result, the Moon Cradle arc may only be turned into OVAs and stand-alone films in the end. According to Kawahara, the Unital Ring arc will most likely be shorter than Alicization.
However, it will very certainly serve as the idea for the next instalment, regardless of the number of volumes. Because the Unital Ring arc has yet to be completed, the fifth season’s release remains a mystery.

What Could the Plot of Sword Art Online Season 5 Be?
Kirito is taken aback when he learns that Alice has gone missing in the season 4 finale. However, she is shortly delivered to him by a postman in a box, much to his amazement.
Alice expresses her displeasure with Kirito for being in the Underworld for so long without informing her. The two enjoy a friendly duel, after which they have dinner with Kirito’s family.
Alice pays a visit to the protagonists’ room later that night to alert him of a mysterious email she got. They are later sent to space when questioning about it at Rath HQ, and it turns out to be an IP address.
There, the two, along with Asuna, defeat gigantic space creatures and emerge victorious. They are subsequently rewarded, and the Star King and Queen are crowned.
Kirito will continue to invest his time in testing out new VRMMORPGs in Season 5, following the events of Alicization.
However, The Seed, a shareware application that may be used to create an infinite number of virtual reality worlds, converges and leads to the creation of Unital Ring, a survival game. All of the players are reset to level 1, but their sword skills are retained.
If a person dies in the game, they will no longer die in the real world, but they will be unable to log in again.
The abrupt convergence causes the New Aincrad castle to fall, signalling the start of Kirito and his comrades’ voyage across the strange new world.
