Poppy starts recording her podcast and claims that Micah is a master of lying. Holt, a suspect, and Micah’s boyfriend is mentioned, and she explains that he is both a suspect and Micah’s lover.

Rose is concerned about the ramifications of telling the truth, while Holt is concerned about Rose’s medicine.

Micah is considering something in her office when Ivy walks in and informs her that HR is swamped with resignations.

On the other hand, Micah acts unconcerned; she doesn’t want anyone’s faith in her to be shaken. Three companies have put their sponsorship agreements on hold.

Micah is unwavering in his belief that she will never abandon him.

As the investigation into Micah progresses, we see Poppy as a child with her abusive alcoholic father.

When her mother’s neck was burned, and she needed to be comforted with water, Micah, a tiny child, was there to help her. Poppy recalls a 2017 occurrence in which Micah and Rose, both toddlers, ended up at the police station simultaneously.

Micah seeks to negotiate peace in the present day. She phones Poppy and expresses her longing for a face-to-face conversation.

Poppy tells her that she lied and that she wants to make things right. Micah explains her fear and brings up Poppy’s tendency to lie.

Not to be outdone, Poppy asks about Rose, who Micah explains was a homeless person who lived on the street with Holt.

The discussion quickly devolves into obscurity. Micah responds by asserting that she could easily ruin her life because Poppy knows so much about her.

Poppy tells Micah that she loves her but doesn’t trust her.

Rose met Joshua a few months before he died, according to Poppy. She asks Rose to get in touch with her.

Meanwhile, Micah publishes a smear campaign against Poppy’s family, including details about her father and the area.

As she drives to Shelter, Cydie is angered by Micah’s personal insults. She also advises Markus that working with Micah indicates his proclivity for taking the wrong path.
