Who Are the Parents of Julie Kibuishi?
Juri “Julie” Kibuishi was born on February 14, 1987, to June and Masa Kibuishi. She was the third child and first daughter. Her parents have always referred to her as “My Valentine Girl/Angel.” The mother of the dancer and aspiring fashion designer previously admitted that her daughter “[was] such a dork.” “You can always tell when she’s home. The music is playing, and she is singing. Simply put, my daughter was the type of person who always seemed to [take] care of friends. That’s why, on that fateful evening, when she received a message that appeared to be from Sam expressing that he wanted some company, she even went to see Sam.”
On May 21, 2010, Julie said farewell to her parents as she left the house to visit her older brother, Taka. However, once the text arrived at about 11 p.m., she decided to head over to Sam’s. Unaware that these would be the final words June would ever speak to her, June had advised her daughter to be cautious and depart early due to Southern California traffic. She said she could not offer her a hug because she was preparing dinner.
According to Julie’s mother, “She was residing at home.” We were pretty close. She is, after all, 23. Being parents, we always talked to each other. She was always terrific at informing me, so it wasn’t difficult to let go. Because of this, June felt something was seriously wrong when she didn’t hear from her for a while and called the police. However, she never would have guessed that her daughter had been shot in the head and killed.
Where Are the Parents of Julie Kibuishi Now?
Julie Kibuishi’s parents provided a potent victim impact statement after Daniel Patrick Wozniak was found guilty of two counts of first-degree murder back in 2016 to ensure he would spend the rest of his life in prison. “You murdered my lovely, caring, loving daughter’s precious life to cover up your terrible and planned crime for the sad reason of wanting money for your wedding and honeymoon,” June said to the murderer.
“You took advantage of my daughter’s kindness and care for her friend. You knew she would help her friend Sam and you took her precious life just to be used as a decoy… For six years and four months, I sat behind you every time I came to court. Seeing you coming out, smiling for the cameras and audience, enjoying being the center of attention. Did I ever see any remorse? NO, not even once. Your behavior… convinced me that you’re not worthy of being called a human being,” Julie’s mother said to ABC.
“You took her precious life and then you disgraced her,” June Kibuishi addressed Wozniak. “Why? What did she do to you? How could you do anything like that to my baby?”
In terms of their current situation, June and Masa live in Irvine, California. The former works as a front office associate at KSK Medical, while the latter appears to be a retired entrepreneur. It’s important to note that the Japanese immigrants battled various forms of cancer while the matter involving their daughter was in court, but it now seems as though they are both doing okay.
Although they acknowledge that they will never fully recover from losing Julie, their online behaviour does indicate that they are making an effort to concentrate on the positive rather than the negative.
