Season 1 of ‘Bosch: Legacy’ aired on Amazon Freevee on May 6, 2022, and ended on May 27, 2022. The first season of the spin-off series consists of ten episodes, each lasting 42-54 minutes.
We have some exciting news to share with you about the second season of the show! At Amazon Freevee’s NewFronts event on May 2, 2022, the renewal of ‘Bosch: Legacy’ for season 2 was formally revealed. The news was released just days before the start of the first season.
Lauren Anderson, Amazon Freevee’s Co-Head of Content & Programming, noted that the original series’ success had a big influence on the spin-early off’s renewal. “It’s about doubling down on a franchise that has succeeded for a long time,” she explained. She went on to say that the original series’ “strong and loyal” fanbase was important in giving them the confidence to recommission the show for a second season even before it premiered.
Following the good news, the production team is expected to return to work as soon as possible and begin recording the upcoming season in order to meet the deadline. The rest of the four rounds were published in April, with the exception of the first, second, and seventh seasons of the original series.
So, when we combine that with the spin-off series’ early renewal, we should expect season 2 of ‘Bosch: Legacy’ to premiere in second quarter of 2023.
