Is Patty Gay or Bisexual in Kevin Can F**k Himself? – Valerie Armstrong is the creator and executive producer of the American dark comedy television series “Kevin Can F**k Himself.”

On June 13, 2021, the series’ first two episodes were made accessible on AMC+, and on June 20, 2021, the show debuted on AMC. A second season of the show was ordered in August 2021. AMC announced in November 2021 that the show would end after two seasons. The second and final season debuted on AMC and AMC+ on August 22, 2022.

The drama, which is set in Worcester, Massachusetts, centres on Allison McRoberts (played by Annie Murphy), a woman who is trying to reinvent herself while married to Kevin, an uncaring, unambitious man-child. With several cameras and artificial laughter when Allison is with her husband Kevin, the show depicts her experience from two different perspectives: as a woman traversing a challenging personal road, which is described in the single-camera arrangement more characteristic of television dramas.

Kevin’s neighbour and Neil O’Connor’s best friend, Patricia “Patty” Deirdre O’Connor, join Allison as her accomplice. The two try several ways to kill Kevin but are unsuccessful each time. While looking into them, Patty soon begins to feel affection for Detective Tammy Ridgeway, who is unaware of her involvement in Patty’s drug transactions. The viewers have been curious about Patty’s sexual orientation because of her relationship with Tammy, so here is everything you need to know about it! Spoilers follow.

Is Patty Gay or Bisexual

Is Patricia “Patty” Deirdre O’Connor Bisexual or Gay?

An uncertain aspect of Patty’s persona is her sexual orientation. Mary Hollis Inboden, who plays Patty, claims that her character is traveling to discover her sexuality. Regarding Patty’s approach to her sexuality, Inboden told Slash Film, “[…] she’s [Patty] struggling with her own sexuality and hasn’t quite faced that yet because it’s embarrassing to be a certain age and not have, you know, sort of come to the truth about yourself.”

Patty could be a lesbian who has been living a fictitiously straight existence to fit societal expectations.

Kurt and Patty never seem to click as a couple. They cannot develop chemistry even when Kurt asks Patty to marry him. Tammy brings Patty happiness after their breakup. As she discovers she has actual affection for the investigator, she faces her concerns about dating the cop who is investigating her. Her sexuality is also investigated as a result of the realisation.

Inboden told Refinery29, “Patty’s sexuality was really, really important. It’s a really important piece to see her truly walk out and start to try to live the life that she wants outside of Kevin’s universe.”

Tammy’s lesbian identity may come to Patty’s attention as their relationship develops rather than her bisexuality. In the second season premiere, Tammy claims that Patty is happier than she has been in years, which may potentially be a reference to Patty’s coming out as gay. If Tammy’s inquiry into the unlawful distribution of oxycodone doesn’t connect her to Patty, the latter might develop a close relationship with the detective. We can anticipate Patty coming out as a lesbian if that’s the case.

The audience must be curious about Mary Hollis Inboden’s sexual preferences and Patty’s sexuality as she explores it. Inboden, however, has decided to keep her sexual orientation a private matter. She continues to speak out against LGBTQ+ representation in the media. Inboden informed AMC, “After you hear a lifetime of bad jokes and misogyny where the butt of the joke is always a woman, a person of color, a member of the LGBTQ community… you start to think why are they always the butt of the joke in a male-led sitcom?
