Pepita Madalyn Redhair was born to Anita King on August 4, 1992. She was raised in Crown Point, a small community on the Navajo Nation in McKinley County, New Mexico, and is a Native American of the Navajo tribe. Redhair was employed as a cashier at Hot Topic, an Albuquerque, New Mexico-based retailer of pop culture and music merchandise, at the time of her disappearance. She had ambitions to become an engineer or a teacher while she was a student at the University of New Mexico.
In addition to spending time at her mother’s home in Crownpoint, Redhair also occasionally stayed at her boyfriend’s home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Pepita Redhair was dropped off at her boyfriend’s home in the 1000 block of Clements Street Southwest in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on March 24, 2020, by her mother, Anita King.
King tried calling and texting her daughter Redhair on March 27, 2020, but Redhair didn’t respond. King attempted to reach her daughter often over the following few days.
