Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Release Date – Although Jujutsu Kaisen is based on the concept of curses, Gege Akutami’s manga and subsequent anime are anything but cursed.
‘Jujutsu Kaisen‘ or ‘Sorcery Fight‘ is a horror urban fantasy anime series based on a manga series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. It follows Yji Itadori, a teen who realises that curses are real and can cause harm to others. Itadori swallows a powerful cursed artefact that appears like a rotten finger to protect his companions and a jujutsu sorcerer named Megumi Fushiguro. He then becomes the target of a curse known as Ryomen Sukuna. Despite this, he manages to keep control of his body.
Itadori then enrols in Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School, where he is facing a death sentence. It has been postponed, however, until he has consumed all of Sukuna’s fingers. The anime received overwhelmingly good reviews after its debut, with critics comparing it to ‘Bleach,’ ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba,’ and ‘Naruto: Shippuden.’
Season 1 has just finished airing. If you’re wondering when Season 2 will be released, here’s what we know so far.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Release Date
Season 1 of ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ debuted on October 3, 2020, and ran for 24 episodes until ending on March 27, 2021. The anime was produced by MAPPA Studios, with episodes directed by Sunghoo Park and Akutami’s work adapted for the small screen by Hiroshi Seko.
Season 2 has yet to be announced by the creators, but the season 1 conclusion concluded with the phrase “To Be Continued” showing on the screen, hinting that the story will continue in some form or medium. The production of an anime film based on the prequel manga ‘Jujutsu Kaisen 0’ was announced on the day the finale aired. This winter, it will be released. The confirmation for the second season could come after the film’s premiere.
Yuta Okkotsu’s childhood companion, Rika Orimoto, transforms into a Special Grade spiteful cursed ghost after her terrible death in a traffic accident in the manga ‘Jujutsu Kaisen 0′. She then haunts Yuta. Satoru Gojo discovers Yuta and brings him to Tokyo Jujutsu High to begin training. Suguru Getou, the main antagonist of the main series, reprises his role in the prequel. Geto targets Yuta to steal Rika and her powers from him in order to establish the sorcerers’ domination.
‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ has grown into a shounen powerhouse because of its superb animation, rich characters, intricately constructed magic system, and engaging plot, despite a lacklustre start. MAPPA is a well-known production company that has worked on multiple seasons of ‘Garo’ as well as ‘Attack on Titan: The Final Season.’ As a result, they appear to have the necessary experience to produce additional seasons of ‘Jujutsu Kaisen.’
Season 2 of ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ is expected to premiere in late 2022 or early 2023 if the show gets renewed this winter.

But what about Yuta Okkotsu, the central character in Jujutsu Kaisen 0? He’ll arrive in the main programme shortly, according to the manga, and a post-credits sequence in the prequel film very well confirms it.
When we contacted English voice actress Kayleigh McKee about the idea, she said the following:
“It would be fantastic if it happened.” To be honest, I have no idea where Yuta will go from here, if anywhere, but if he returns, I would be really interested to see him evolve and mature further.”
“My vision of what I think he’ll be and become as he matures more after learning these lessons, and possibly going through more adversities, and how he’ll manage them differently, is so thrilling to think about,” McKee continued.
“Being able to represent additional progression for a character like this, who is one of my favourite characters I’ve ever played, is a fantastic concept.” And I sincerely hope it occurs.”
Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen: What Could It Be About?
Itadori and Nobara overcome the Special Grade Curse siblings Kechizu and Eso in the season 1 finale. Choso, their older brother, is aware of what has occurred and mourns for them. Megumi is subsequently discovered by Itadori and Nobara, tired from his own battle. Sukuna emerges on Itadori’s hand and devour it as Megumi tries to give him the cursed finger.
Three first-year students defeated three Special Grade Curses, and word quickly travelled throughout the school. Gojo is concerned that one of his students is a spy. Itadori, Nobara, Megumi, Panda, and Maki Zenin are recommended for advancement to Grade 1 sorcerers by Aoi and Mei Mei.
The source material from chapter 64 (volume 8) onwards may be altered in season 2. It’s possible that Nobara will run into Yuko Ozawa, Itadori’s former classmate. The season could focus on Gojo and Geto’s difficult relationship. The treachery of the sorcerers by Kokichi Muta may be revealed. The show might delve more into the relationships between the various student groups. In the coming season, Itadori may have to face Choso.
