Katie Morton and Chris Bukowski – “Bachelor in Paradise” is a reality television show broadcast on ABC in the United States, premiering August 2014. It is an offshoot of popular reality shows “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette.”
The concept behind “Bachelor in Paradise” is to bring together former contestants from “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette,” who did not find love during their respective seasons, for a second chance at finding love. Filmed in an idyllic location, the contestants live together and go on dates with one another.
Chris Harrison, host of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette,” hosted the show until 2021 when he stepped down following controversy surrounding his defense of a contestant’s racially insensitive actions. A rotating cast of guest hosts then took his place.
In the sixth season of the show, Katie Morton and Chris Bukowski began dating, sparking the hopes of many fans who hoped they would remain together forever.
Let’s discover more about them and their relationship status.
Bachelor in Paradise’s Chris Bukowski and Katie Morton
Katie Morton made her television debut on season 23 of “The Bachelor,” where she competed to win Colton Underwood’s heart. Though she ultimately did not win, Morton quickly earned fans’ appreciation with her quirky personality and infectious laugh. Following this experience, Morton joined fellow contestant Chris Bukowski on “Bachelor in Paradise” season 6, where they formed an unlikely bond.
Chris Bukowski has appeared on multiple seasons of “The Bachelor” franchise, including “The Bachelorette,” “Bachelor Pad,” and “Bachelor in Paradise.” Unfortunately, he had previously been unsuccessful in finding love on the show until season 6, when he connected with Katie Morton, and they began a relationship.
Unfortunately, their relationship took a hit after the show ended, and in March 2020, Morton shared on social media that she and Bukowski had broken up. Although they had previously appeared on “Bachelor in Paradise: After Paradise”, it ultimately proved too difficult for them to make things work together.
Since their split, Morton has remained active on social media since their split and has spoken publicly about mental health issues and body positivity. However, Bukowski has mostly kept to himself and focused on running his businesses.
Are Katie and Chris Still Together?
Katie Morton and Chris Bukowski’s relationship began during the filming of “Bachelor in Paradise” season 6, which aired in 2019. At first, Morton had her sights set on fellow contestant Wills Reid but soon after, Bukowski entered her life and quickly won over her heart.
Despite some initial hesitation and concerns, Morton and Bukowski began dating and quickly established themselves as one of the most stable couples on the show. They supported each other through challenges, with Bukowski even giving Morton his final rose during the season finale to indicate his intention to propose.
After the show concluded, Morton and Bukowski continued their relationship in real life; however, it wasn’t without its challenges. Morton felt insecure and uncertain about the future of their relationship, while Bukowski struggled with difficulty expressing his emotions or communicating effectively.
On the spinoff show “Bachelor in Paradise: After Paradise,” they discussed their problems and revealed they had decided to take a break from their engagement to work on their relationship separately. Ultimately, however, they reconciled and got back together again, but ultimately their connection did not last.
In March 2020, Morton shared on social media that she and Bukowski had ended their engagement. She cited personal growth and a desire to “find happiness” as the reasons for the split, while Bukowski shared a statement expressing his love and respect for Morton.
Since their breakup, Morton has been vocal about her struggles with anxiety and depression, using her platform to advocate for mental health awareness. Bukowski has largely kept a low profile while running his businesses – bars and restaurants throughout Chicagoland – which he largely keeps private.
