Recap of the first episode of Season 5 of The Resident
Nic is alive and well, recuperating at a spa retreat outside of town, as Season 5 episode 1, “Da Da” begins.
She is anxious for Gigi, who is still expected to be separated from her mother for at than 36 hours. Meanwhile, Conrad achieves a healthy balance between his profession and his responsibilities as a father.
When he witnesses a father almost lose his 14-year-old child at Chastain, he feels a tug at his heartstrings.
The man’s sorrow and shock present themselves tragically in the form of a heart attack, which leads to his death.
The atmosphere at the hospital is tight, and Dr. Austin is concerned about the young girl, who has no one to look after her since her mother abandoned her when she was a year old.
When Bell asks Kit if she wants to get supper as the day draws to a close for the committed doctors, they exchange an awkward glance. However, the flame between them hasn’t completely died out.
Devon is also caught in the center of a suspected chemical leak, and no one in the hallway can aid him.
Furthermore, the tragedy occurs just as things between him and Leela are beginning to improve!
