Where is The Circle Season 5 Runner-up ‘Raven Sutton’ Now?

Where is The Circle Season 5 2nd Runner-up Raven Sutton Now? – The Circle is a reality competition show that aired on Netflix in January 2020. Studio Lambert and Motion Content Group made it. It is based on a British TV show of the same name. As part of a partnership between Netflix and All3Media, Netflix also released different versions of The Circle in France and Brazil. The series is marketed as a social media-based game, with the idea that “in The Circle, anyone can be anyone.”

The Circle will make a surprise comeback to Netflix. Because the new season of The Circle is called The Circle: Singles, all of the contestants will need to be single or at least pretend to be so to compete.

The Alabama-born ASL performer Raven Sutton is one of the finalists who will be appearing on the show. The deaf social worker, her interpreter, and her best friend Paris will attend the event together.

Beyonce liked the dancer’s TikTok video, and she has been showcased in an article with translator Matthew Maxey.

Raven Sutton’s Journey on “The Circle”

One of the upcoming competitors on The Circle is a deaf dancer, interpreter, and disability rights advocate named Raven Sutton. She studied social work at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, earning her degrees from Gallaudet University, where she also served as a peer advisor for a short time.

In 2017, the advocate spent a year working as a dance teacher at Haiti’s Institut of Montfort Pour Enfants Sourds. After that, she pursued a career in various fields before making her way into The Circle.

Since 2020, the consultant has been freelancing as a disability expert, advising businesses and local organizations on how to implement a wide range of disability strategies that will make the world a more accessible and inclusive place for people with disabilities.

In 2021, she was employed as a Twitter Educational Consultant, providing advice on improving the service for the deaf. Raven Sutton, along with African-American interpreter Matthew Maxey and Latina interpreter Amber Galloway-Gallego discussed the need for Black sign language interpreters in hip-hop during a Zoom interview in July 2022.

Using an interpreter, the upcoming contestant on The Circle said that people often ask her how she can dance, given that she is deaf. She emphasized that the deaf can “participate and enjoy music just like everyone else” because they can “feel the vibrations of the music.”

Furthermore, she stated, “We love to go out to concerts and events to have fun, celebrate, and feel the beat.”

In 2020, Sutton posted a video to social media of herself dancing to Megan thee Stallion and Cardi B’s WAP while signing the lyrics. Beyoncé also reposted her video on TikTok.

Where is Raven Sutton Now?

Raven grew up in Alabama, but now she lives and works in Maryland, where she performs the roles of social worker, content creator, performer, and advocate for people with disabilities in various capacities. In Maryland, she lives a happy, healthy life. The passionate dancer and Gallaudet alum are rumored to have started out as a counselor, dance teacher, and teacher’s aide. Still, she has expanded her role in the education sector to include much more. As was previously stated, the now-27-year-old is most closely and proudly associated with Deaf DAWN in the Greater Washington, DC, and Baltimore Area as Senior Survivor Resource Specialist. She can use her newfound skills while helping others who have overcome adversity.

But that’s not all: Raven is also pioneering American Sign Language (ASL) covers of popular songs to make them more accessible to the deaf and hard-of-hearing in her community. In 2021, her cover of Cardi B’s “WAP” went viral due to its Cappella style. Furthermore, she wishes to one day open her own dance therapy studio and pursue a career in the field. Some people, especially at-risk youth, may visit this location to dance away their stresses, concerns, and negative emotions.

Sutton is now ready for her appearance on The Circle and will be accompanied by her best friend and interpreter, Paris. If you want to know what happens next in the story, you’ll have to wait until the new season premieres on Netflix on December 28.
