Yellowstone fans are looking forward to the upcoming episode of the prequel series to the Western melodrama, 1883.
The historical drama airs on Paramount Plus and chronicles the ancestors of John Dutton (Kevin Costner). Fans are curious about the relationship between James (Tim McGraw) and Elsa (Isabel May) Dutton and John.
The ‘Yellowstone’ Dutton Family Tree Details
Yellowstone follows a Montana-based family similar to the Roys from Succession. Take, for example, Season 4, Episode 7, in which John announces his candidacy for governor on the spur of the moment, just as his adoptive son, Jamie, launches his candidacy.

John’s Great Grandfather, James Dutton [migrated to Montana with His Family.]

Carter’s father died about the same time that John Dutton was released from the hospital following the Season 3 finale’s devastating gunfight.

In Season 4, Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) and Monica (Kelsey Asbille Chow) share a variety of new experiences.
They find out that another baby is on the way in Season 4, Episode 8. Tate, their son, is theirs (Brecken Merrill). The family has lately relocated to a new residence.

Robert Long shot Lee Dutton in Season 1 of ‘Yellowstone.’
The terrible loss of John Dutton’s oldest son, Lee, was depicted in Season 1, Episode 1 of Yellowstone (Dave Annable).
After attempting to return the livestock from the Broken Rock Reservation, he was killed. Robert Long, Kayce’s brother-in-law, shot him.
Without the ranch employees, Lloyd Pierce (Forrie J. Smith), Walker (Ryan Bingham), Colby (Denim Richards), and the rest of the crew who aren’t formally part of the Dutton family, the storey would be incomplete.
