Before the 1883 finale, Billy Bob Thornton has some good news to share.
Along with Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, the actor and musician starred in the Paramount+ show.
Billy Bob Thornton has a very busy schedule, and he recently appeared as Marshal Jim Courtright in the smash Paramount+ series 1883.
The actor played a no-nonsense officer in the hit drama opposite Faith Hill and Tim McGraw.
Furthermore, the musician’s career isn’t about to slow down anytime soon, as he has recently been cast in a new Paramount+ streaming show called Land Man.
The 11-part Texas Monthly podcast Boomtown, which went into about the historical oil resources of the Permian Basin, inspired Land Man.
Billy will play a major role in the show, while no further details have been given. So far, all that is known about him is that he would portray an oil company’s “crisis manager.”
Billy recently spoke out about his future ambitions, telling People that he would be interested in appearing in more TV shows in the future.
Billy Bob Thornton will star in the upcoming show Land Man.
“I’m going to try to establish a balance between music, movies, and television,” he says. “I mean, if you can do one each, each year, if I can create a record and go on tour, if I can make one movie and one television thing, that seems pretty fantastic, you know?”
“Streaming shows and things like 1883 are so much like movies these days. They’re cinematic, and you can build a tale across multiple episodes, so I’m all for it. In many ways, I believe it to be the future “said the actor.
Billy liked nothing more than starring alongside his pals in 1883, and his part was even written just for him.
The hit series also created a role for another cast member, with show creator Taylor Sheridan creating Elsa Dutton specifically for actress Isabel May.
